Kenan Thompson left “a very generous tip” at the “Saturday Night Live” afterparty held at Zuma New York City over the weekend, an insider exclusively tells Page Six.
“Kenan Thompson left staff with a $1,500 [tip] on a $1,400 check,” the source said, noting that other celebrity guests included Chris Rock, Adam Sandler and Paul Mescal.
We hear Thompson, 46, ordered the bone-in ribeye with truffles while Sandler, 58, went for the restaurant’s tuna nigiri.
“Sandler asked the chef for the off-menu Tomahawk steak, to which the chef agreed,” the insider shared. “But Adam declined after hearing it would be a 45-minute cook time.”
We’re told the “Billy Madison” actor, who made a surprise appearance on “SNL” over the weekend, was the first to arrive at the star-studded soirée and told the doorman that he was “handsome” on his way in.
Meanwhile, Rock — who hosted Saturday’s episode of the NBC sketch comedy show — was seen hanging at his VIP table with Sandler as well as “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels and fellow stand-up stars Dave Chappelle and Aziz Ansari.
We’re told Chappelle was seen taking a cigarette smoke break outside at one point in the evening.
The evening’s musical guest, Gracie Abrams, was also in attendance with her rumored boyfriend, Mescal.
She and the “Normal People” actor recently attended the “Gladiator II” premiere afterparty in Los Angeles on Nov. 18, where they held hands and posed for photos together.
Other guests at the fête included ”SNL” star Marcello Hernandez, J.J. Abrams, Jackson Mahomes, Simu Liu and Devon Walker.
Earlier in the evening, Rock made a dig at Jonah Hill while discussing alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione during his opening monologue.
“We got Luigi … you know. And that’s good. I really feel sorry for the family. I mean, everybody is fixated on how good this guy looks,” Rock told the audience, before adding, “If he looked like Jonah Hill no one would care. They’d already given him the chair already. He’d be dead, OK?”
