Kelsea Ballerini has big plans for her hiatus from the road.
On Thursday, Feb. 27, the country star, 31, shared an Instagram post reflecting on how she’ll be spending her tour break.
“17 shows, half the tour is done,” said Ballerini. “thank you for showing up so wholeheartedly, for decking out in glitter and making signs, for keeping it safe and fun for everyone. we feel so lucky to be doing this show for you, i really still can’t believe we get to do it 19 more times.”
She added: “my heart is full, my tank is empty, im gonna go eat some chicken nuggets and take a nice nap before we get back to it for the west coast. i adore and appreciate you more than i can say. ”
Alongside the post, Ballerini shared a series of images including her in glittery eyeshadow staring into an iPhone, her performing on stage, her sitting onstage in sunglasses, a fan holding a “Making Better Patterns” sign, a fan holding a “Made You Look” sign, a coloring book page on her refrigerator, a Polaroid of her holding a mic, a video of her rehearsing on tour and a near-empty gas tank.

On Sunday, Feb. 23., Ballerini called out the crowd for slamming her ex-husband Morgan Evans while performing the Rolling Up the Welcome Mat track “Penthouse” at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla.
“Penthouse” features lyrics about moving on after the end of a relationship, and fans passionately sing along to the track’s bridge: “It hurts putting s— in a box / And now we don’t talk / And it stings rolling up the welcome mat / Knowing you got half.”
In fan-captured TikTok footage taken by an attendee, Ballerini paused after fans screamed obscenities after the “you got half” line and said, “Guys, we have to stop saying that.”
According to the comments section, some fans shouted profanities directed toward Evans during the post-lyric pause.
“Seriously, we’re three years past it, everything’s fine now,” added Ballerini, who filed for divorce from Evans in August 2022 after nearly five years of marriage.
Ballerini’s last tour stop before her break was on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Dickies Arena in Forth Worth, Texas.
The “Mountain with a View” singer is set to resume tour at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on March 13.
