Kelly Ripa’s youngest son Joaquin’s rare look into personal life gets fans talking

Joaquin Consuelos is living large following his 23rd birthday earlier in February, taking to his social media page with a rare collection of photos.

The budding actor is the youngest of LIVE with Kelly and Mark co-anchors Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ three children. The couple also share 28-year-old Michael and 24-year-old Lola Consuelos.

Joaquin shared a few pics on his Instagram page, including photos from a beach vacation, dancing with his sister Lola and her boyfriend Cassius Kidston, running shirtless, and drinking his coffee from a cup labeled for “Watson.”

Among the first to leave a comment was his brother Michael, who simply quipped: “Watson,” with a coffee cup emoji. Kelly liked the post, with friends and other followers leaving responses like: “Mr. Gorgeous over here,” and: “Calf sleeve king.” Several others wished him the best for his upcoming Broadway debut.

Owning the stage

The University of Michigan graduate is taking a big step into the limelight come March, making his Broadway debut in an upcoming revival of the renowned play Death of a Salesman.

The production will star Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf in the leading roles, directed by Joe Mantello. Previews will begin on March 6 at the Winter Garden Theatre, and opening night will take place on April 9.

Per the official update from Playbill, joining Nathan and Laurie will be Christopher Abbott, Ben Ahlers, K. Todd Freeman, Jonathan Cake, John Drea, Michael Benjamin Washington, Tasha Lawrence, Jake Silbermann, Jake Termine, Karl Green, and Jack Falahee, with Joaquin joining the ensemble.

The logline for the play, written by Arthur Miller, reads: “One man and his family are caught up in the pressures and delusions of living the American Dream. Miller’s play is the story of a traveling salesman whose illusions of picture-perfect business and family life cave in on him.”

The drama was written in 1949 and opened on Broadway that same year, instantly becoming a hit, winning a Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Tony Award for Best Play. It has since been revived five times on the Broadway stage.

In-house competition

He won’t be the only Consuelos to take the stage this spring, though, as Mark also returns to Broadway with a supporting turn in the revival of Fallen Angels.

The Riverdale star, 54, will be part of the upcoming revival of the Noël Coward, joining leads Rose Byrne (fresh off her very first Oscar nod) and Kelli O’Hara. The show will begin previews on March 27 (just three weeks after Death of a Salesman) before opening on April 19, ending its limited engagement on June 7 at the Todd Haimes Theatre.
