Keke Palmer’s latest look has Hollywood history.
The star made a memorable entrance on the 2025 SAG Awards red carpet on Sunday night, rocking a 1985 archival Chanel gown that Jamie Lee Curtis first wore nearly 40 years ago.
Palmer’s stylist Molly Dickson confirmed the fashion flashback on her Instagram Story, sharing a photo of Curtis sporting the same black velvet strapless style at the First Annual American Cinematheque Award Salute to Eddie Murphy on Feb. 28, 1986.
According to Instagram, it was sold in December 2024 by Vintage Martini Consignment in Dallas, Texas.
Both leading ladies opted to style the the gold-adorned look with matching opera gloves, as it was first presented on the fashion house’s runway.
While the “Scream” star completed her look with statement-making gold earrings, Palmer opted for something a bit more subtle, leaf-shaped diamond huggies ($895) from Brilliant Earth’s recent Jane Goodall collaboration.
The 31-year-old actress styled her hair in a copper-colored bob and opted for bold Old Hollywood-inspired glam for the occasion, including a bright red lip and classic winged eyeliner.
While she wasn’t nominated, the “Nope” star presented an award at the Netflix-streamed ceremony.
“Presenting is a little spooky, but I’m doing it with Colman Domingo,” she said on the red carpet. “He’s a friend.”
For her part, Curtis turned heads at Sunday’s ceremony in a sequin-covered Dolce & Gabbana gown, paired with a feather bolero, that nodded to her role in “The Last Showgirl.”
She took home the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role for her portrayal of Annette in the Gia Coppola-director movie.
Perhaps Palmer’s look served as a sartorial good luck charm.
Now let’s hope these two link up for a future project.
