Katie Holmes Can’t Stop Wearing Wide-Leg Jeans — Copy Her Latest Look from $30

Another day, another Katie Holmes outfit I need in my style rotation.

Every time the actress wears wide-leg jeans, I can’t help but sit up and take notice, and this particular occasion was no exception. Holmes stepped out in New York City wearing a pair of black wide-leg jeans that, left to its own devices, could be deemed casual. On this occasion, though, she gave the pants a dressy spin with a brownish-gray tweed blazer, white button-down blouse, and Demellier London’s The Midi New York structured satchel in dark brown suede, which looks similar to my favorite bag of the season. She added a white tee under the blouse and white canvas sneakers for an overall sophisticated-meets-casual vibe that I can’t wait to copy.

Holmes is no stranger to the wide-leg jeans trend; she’s worn them multiple times over the past year (and I’ve wanted every single pair). A few of her standout looks include dark blue baggy jeans with a bright yellow blazer, exaggerated straight-leg jeans with a flowy blouse and leather ballet flats, faded blue wide-leg jeans with a long black coat, light blue cropped jeans with a plaid shacket and black boots, roomy light blue jeans with a brown cropped trench and red flats, and light-wash barrel jeans with a cozy cardigan — and, trust me, that’s just the tip of her fashionable wide-leg jeans iceberg.

Holmes’ black wide-leg jeans are the latest in a long line of reasons she’s given me to hop on the trend. If you, like me, can’t wait to rock this must-be-copied outfit, you’re in luck: I rounded up seven pairs of black wide-leg jeans on Amazon from brands like Hudson and Joe’s Jeans, starting at just $30.

Black Wide-Leg Jeans Inspired by Katie Holmes

Hdlte Boyfriend Wide-Leg Jeans

These black jeans with exaggerated straight legs are a close lookalike for styles worn by both Holmes and Kendall Jenner. They have a zip-and-button fly, classic five-pocket styling, and a slightly baggy fit through the ankles, and they come in sizes XS–XL.

Evaless Baggy Barrel Jeans

With exposed seams at the pockets and knees, these black barrel jeans are similar to ones Blake Lively wore. Happy shoppers said they have a “‘90s vibe without feeling like you’re trying too hard” and can be worn “with a white tee, structured blazer, and heeled booties, and alternatively with wedge sneakers and a structured sweatshirt.”

Joe’s Jeans the Pleated Wide-Leg Ankle Jeans

Front pleats lend these black jeans a tailored touch. They’re designed with a zip-and-button fly, five-pocket styling, and wide legs that hit right above the ankles on most people.

Plnotme Barrel Jeans

Ever since I spotted Julianne Moore in barrel jeans, I’ve wanted a pair — and in a deep black wash with double-seamed knees and classic five-pocket styling, I think I’ve found “the one.” They come in sizes 2–14 and eight additional washes, including multiple shades of blue, white, and khaki.

Grapent Wide-Leg Jeans with Pouch Pockets

These black wide-leg jeans get a fun flourish with deep patch pockets at the hips. One shopper said they’re “so comfy and very flattering,” while another reviewer, who received the jeans for free, said they’re “perfect for everyday wear.”

Hudson Rosie High-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans

With a silhouette that toes the line between wide-leg and straight-leg, these black jeans have a similar look to the ones Holmes recently wore. They come in 14 additional washes including red, white, and light blue, and sizes 23–34.

Sidefeel Wide-Leg Jeans with Slant Pockets

As a petite fashion writer, I’m always combing Amazon’s virtual racks for pants and jeans that won’t need hemming. I’m instantly drawn to these black wide-leg jeans not just for their shorter hems that hit ankle length on most people, but for their unique angled pockets at the hips.
