Katie Holmes offered her most intimate glimpse yet into her blossoming romance with artist Jason Bard Yarmosky, sharing a series of stunning photographs from a sun-soaked getaway to Lake Como.
The 47-year-old actress soaked up the Italian sunshine in a tiny white bikini while stretching out on the deck of a luxurious wooden speedboat, with the dramatic mountains surrounding the lake providing an idyllic backdrop.
In another photograph, Katie wore a plunging black halterneck dress as she posed barefoot beside a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the water.
However, it was the photographs of Katie with Jason that offered the clearest indication yet of just how close the new couple have become.
One particularly romantic image showed the pair sitting together at the back of a boat as it sped across the lake. Katie, still barefoot in her black dress, rested an arm around Jason’s shoulders and beamed at him as they enjoyed the spectacular sunset views.
Another captured the couple from behind as they took in the scenery together, with a shirtless Jason at the wheel while Katie stood beside him.
The actress also shared a beautiful close-up in which she appeared relaxed and make-up free, her wet brunette hair swept back from her face as she smiled while cruising across the water.
The Italian getaway comes at a significant moment for the couple, who only recently took their romance public after meeting earlier this summer.
Katie Holmes and Jason Bard Yarmosky’s new romance
Katie and Jason reportedly met at a dinner connected to the Tribeca Festival in June, where Katie was promoting her film Happy Hours and Jason was participating in the festival’s Artist Awards Program.
Their relationship first attracted attention on July 10, when they arrived hand-in-hand at a screening of Olivia Wilde’s The Invite in East Hampton.
.
Their romance quickly became more public. Later that month, Katie and Jason made their first official appearance as a couple at a Ferragamo dinner in Bridgehampton, where their coordinating navy outfits caught attention.
When ELLE pointed out their matching style, Katie offered a rare comment about their connection, saying simply: “I think we just have similar taste.”
They went on to walk the red carpet together at the Guild Hall Summer Gala on August 7 and were subsequently photographed sharing some sweet PDA while attending Michael Kors’ 45th anniversary celebration in East Hampton.
Katie makes her feelings for Jason clear
The actress has traditionally remained guarded when it comes to her private life, making her recent social media posts particularly significant.
On September 1, Katie marked Jason’s birthday by sharing an affectionate photograph of them together and publicly declaring: “Happy Birthday to the best of the best…”
The post marked the clearest confirmation yet of their relationship and came after the pair had gradually begun sharing glimpses of their time together on social media.
Jason, a New York-based painter born in 1987, has built his career exploring themes including ageing, memory and the passage of time. His work has been exhibited internationally, while his portraits have also appeared in the windows of Bergdorf Goodman.
His philosophy on ageing appears particularly refreshing. Speaking about his work, Jason previously said: “Nobody should want to be young forever. You should want to enjoy all of life.”
He added: “We shouldn’t limit ourselves to just one idea of beauty; we should accept it all.”
For Katie, whose previous relationships have played out under intense scrutiny, the romance represents a notably different chapter.
The actress was married to Tom Cruise from 2006 until 2012, and the former couple share 20-year-old daughter Suri. Katie later had a long-term relationship with Jamie Foxx and subsequently dated chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. and musician Bobby Wooten III.
