Kate Middleton is green-lighting this pretty print for the wintertime — well, sort of.
Last week, Prince William wished his wife a happy birthday on the duo’s shared social media account. Accompanying the sweet message was a never-before-seen portrait of the Princess of Wales, 43, who wore a toasty gingham scarf — a pattern that’s typically reserved for the warmer months of the year.
Case in point: Reese Witherspoon’s summer pickleball attire, Taylor Swift’s mini dress at the US Open, Sarah Jessica Parker’s hat while filming season three of And Just Like That…, and, now, Kate Middleton’s scarf. You see, the portrait was actually taken last summer. But since a scarf (or any other piece of clothing, for that matter) can be warm and wintry with the right material, there’s no reason why you can’t wear gingham now.
