The Princess of Wales had a busy day in Leicester on Thursday, attending a Holi celebration and visiting a Hindu temple.
She also walked down the cityâs famous âGolden Mileâ, and during her visit, the royal was treated to a performance by a troupe of Bollywood dancers, during which she was handed a rose. During the performance, she quipped that her three children would âloveâ the performance.
Speaking to the group afterwards, the royal mum-of-three said: âYou must be super fit because itâs super energetic. My children would love that, they love their dancing. Louis would love your dance routine.â
Kate later threw herself into a performance, taking part in a traditional dance at the Hindu temple of Shreeji Dham Haveli. After immersing herself in the dance, she watched a rehearsal of Songs of the Bulbul, an interpretation of an ancient Sufi story about the bulbul, which is a songbird, perishing from despair.
Love of dance
The Wales children have always loved a dance, and the trio can often be seen grooving out during the annual Trooping the Colour.
During last yearâs commemorations for the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Prince Louis, seven, was seen tapping along to the drumbeat on the balcony while his older siblings were both spotted dancing along.
During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations back in 2022, Louis, who was then aged four, was seen dancing along to some of the music during the Sunday Pageant. Proud parents William and Kate exchanged a delighted look, however, Prince George was unimpressed with his younger brotherâs antics on this occasion and could be seen shaking his head.
Charlotte and ballet
Princess Charlotte is also known to be a keen ballet dancer, with Kate confirming her only daughterâs hobby back in 2017, stating that she âabsolutely loves [ballet]â. William added on a separate occasion: âCharlotte is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything.â
When the young royal turned eight back in 2023, she was treated to a night at the Royal Opera House to watch The Royal Ballet and the National Ballet of Canadaâs performance of Cinderella.
