Kate Middleton gave Mother Nature a shoutout on her 44th birthday.
The Princess of Wales posted a serene video via Instagram Friday of herself strolling outdoors as she spoke in a voiceover about enduring the âcoldest, darkest season.â
The royal told ehr followers, âWinter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration. The stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection, to discover the deepest parts of ourselves alongside the whispers and the pulse of every living thing.â
Middleton noted that she has recently been âreflecting on how deeply gratefulâ she is.
As for what sheâs thankful for, Middleton explained, âThe rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away [as they] cleanse and purify. [We] come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive, to be at one with nature.
â[Nature is] a quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides in memory, helping us to heal,â she concluded.
In the caption, Middleton called her quarterly video series on Mother Nature this year a âdeeply personal, creative reflection on how nature has helped [her] heal.â
Middleton, who is in remission after battling cancer, added, âBut it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing. There is so much we can learn from mother nature, as we look to build a happier, healthier world.â
She, notably, made headlines for her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.
She stepped back from the public eye to undergo treatment, revealing six months later that she had completed chemotherapy.
Middleton, who has since returned to her royal duties, confirmed in January 2025 that she is in remission.
Her husband, Prince William, gave rare insight into Middletonâs health struggles on Eugene Levyâs âThe Reluctant Travelerâ after their âhardest yearâ as a family.
The Prince of Wales, who shares Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with his wife, said, âThings are good. Everything is progressing in the right way, which is all good news.â
William, 43, admitted in October 2025 that while he tried to maintain a âpositive outlookâ during the scare, his mind went to some âpretty not great places.â
He continued, âLife is sent to test us as well and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are.â
