Kate Middleton is at the center of conspiracy theories yet again.
A royal reporter questioned the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis in September — and her doubt has resurfaced following the 42-year-old’s Festival of Remembrance appearance.
Sky News correspondent Rhiannon Mills erroneously reported at the time that “pre-cancerous cells had been found” in Middleton as opposed to the royal battling cancer.
Social media users have since run rampant with the claim, with one alleging via X that Middleton “thought it appropriate to play the sympathy card when the popularity of the Royal family is at an all-time low.”
A second conspiracy theorist pointed out, “Pre-cancerous calls are absolutely not cancer. … She has milked this beyond all realms of acceptably.”
Another fan, however, argued that “pre-cancerous cells can easily evolve into cancerous.”
Notably, pre-cancerous cells are “cells that have changes that increase the risk of” cancer, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Middleton herself never publicly described her cancer as “pre-cancerous,” so it is likely Mills misworded her article.

News broke in January that Middleton was undergoing abdominal surgery, and she stayed out of the public eye for months post-op.
Amid wild conspiracy theories — ranging from body double speculation to rumors of Prince William cheating — the princess shared her diagnosis in a video.
“Tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she said at the time. “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
Middleton made her first public appearance at Trooping the Colour in June, also attending Wimbledon and more events before stepping out this weekend.
She honored both Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II with her coat dress and pearl drop earrings at the Festival of Remembrance with William, 42, and King Charles III.
“Good Morning Britain” reporter Narinder Kaur found herself under fire Saturday after commenting on Middleton’s “aging” appearance at Royal Albert Hall.
The journalist apologized Sunday, writing, “I put out a tweet earlier. A genuine ask about why Kate Middleton had aged so much. It was genuinely an ask.”
Kaur continued, “I thought she was perhaps a smoker. It was, on reflection, a stupid, insensitive tweet.”
The controversy comes on the heels of Middleton “finally” completing chemotherapy and telling the public she is cancer-free.
“My path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she revealed in September.
