Kate Hudson shows off daughter’s cowgirl transformation in glimpse of Aspen vacation

Kate Hudson may be a true California girl, but part of her heart belongs out in the country.

Over the weekend, the Running Point actress shared a glimpse into her and her daughter Rani’s time in Aspen, Colorado, where her family has long had property in addition to their California homes.

As well as Rani, seven, who the Oscar nominee shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa, she is also a mom to sons Ryder, 22, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham “Bing,” 15, who she shares with ex Matt Bellamy.

Taking to Instagram, Kate first shared a photo of her and her daughter dressed in their best western outfits, cowboy hats and all, posing outside a rodeo arena.

Subsequent snaps showed Rani’s custom cowboy hat branded with her own name, a selfie of the mother-daughter duo enjoying cotton candy, plus of their dessert at what appears to be the Matsuhisa in Aspen, and the two riding horses.

“Giddy up,” Kate aptly wrote in her caption, and fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over the photos.

“Love it! The bond you have developed between you & your daughter,” one wrote, as others followed suit with: “Love all of this. Snowmass rodeo. Matsuhisa and Cozy Point,” and: “Aw looks like a great safe family fun adventure Kate! Hope you all had a great time at the rodeo,” as well as: “Cutest mother daughter duo!!”

Earlier this year, Kate’s eldest son Ryder graduated from New York University, and his grandparents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were in attendance at the graduation ceremony at Yankee Stadium.

Kate later took to Instagram with a lengthy tribute to Ryder, writing: “I remember staring into the eyes of baby Ryder. I was young but unwavering as a mother. I thought I knew exactly what I was doing. Isn’t time a beautiful reminder to allow reflection and consideration of all we thought we knew, yet had no idea?”

After detailing the questions she asked herself about who Ryder would become and the anxiety that came with motherhood, she continued: “And then poof! One day, you’re at the college graduation of your first born. He is fun, vibrant, kind. His friends are all awesome and unique, none the same. He loves his family, his siblings and gosh darn it, he loves his mom.”

“All the questions, many answered, many lingering of course, but on this celebration party night I felt a young man carrying great love out into the world. And that is the greatest comfort as a mother. To witness him, ready for the next adventure. I’m allowing myself a quiet moment of pride, and I hope many of the mamas and papas out there having the same experience this past week are doing the same. Here’s to the graduates!” she concluded.
