Just call it keeping up with the credit card bills.
While Kim Kardashianâs brands now make billions, she reflects on her sometimes-rocky business beginnings in her new MasterClass â including how she and sisters KhloĂ© and Kourtney struggled to fill their Dash store with clothing when it opened in 2006.
âWe were able to get a credit card, first solely in Kourtneyâs name because she had the best credit,â she recalls in the online class, adding that the siblings didnât have a history of âbeing able to pay vendors back on timeâ and therefore âhad to pay for everything upfront.â
While the famous trio was able to get a lease for the storefront with âa little bit of moneyâ inherited from their late father, Robert Kardashian, she says they used to purchase âall of the inventoryâ using Kourtneyâs card.
âWe would pay just the minimum every month when the credit card bill would come,â Kim recalls. âThis is probably the worst advice because you probably should be paying your credit card bill off, but we just didnât have the money.â
Now, as the founder of several successful companies, Kim is bringing advice to those who might still be struggling with the earlier stages of entrepreneurship. Her âNew Rules of Businessâ MasterClass teaches her 10 âKimmandmentsâ of brand-building, giving a rare glimpse at how she created her empire.
âThese arenât my suggestions; these are the rules I live by,â she says in the introduction, before sharing lessons on how to âdominate the social feedâ and âreinvent yourself again and again.â
With all MasterClass memberships currently 40% off, you can have the shapewear mogul as your teacher for just $6 a month (as opposed to $10 a month).
Kimâs not the first member of her famous family to join the platform; Kris Jenner also offers a class on â what else? â the power of personal branding.
Other celebrities whoâve released MasterClasses include Steph Curry, Gordon Ramsay, Shonda Rimes and Martin Scorsese.
Given the special offer ends soon, itâs a great time to dash over and score the 40% off before this deal ends.
