Well, close. Because Vice President Kamala Harris finally came face-to-face with her Saturday Night Live doppelgÀnger Maya Rudolph.
During the cold open of the November 2 episodeâhosted by John Mulaney with musical guest Chappell Roanâthe Democratic presidential nominee joined, uh well, herself on stage for a bit of a pep talk. As Rudolphâs Harris prepped for her final rally in Pennsylvania, she couldnât help but wonder if she could talk to someone âwhoâs been in my shoes, a Black, South Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area.â
Enter Harris, who appeared on the other side of a mirror to consult Rudolphâs version of herself.Â
âItâs nice to see you Kamala, and Iâm just here to remind you, youâve got this because you do something your opponent cannot do,â real Harris, who is up against Republican nominee Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, said. âYou can open doors.â
