Kaitlyn Bristowe Shares Raw Post-Op Photos from Eyelid Surgery: ‘Everyone Wants to Look Like This’

Kaitlyn Bristowe is sharing a glimpse of her recent eyelid surgery.

On Sunday, Dec. 8, the Bachelorette star, 39, posted some post-operation photos on Instagram after telling fans she’d had an “upper bleph” (blepharoplasty) on the social media site the day prior.

In one snap, Bristowe posed for a selfie in bed while showing followers her swollen, pink eyelids, while another image showed her in a medical facility still wearing her blue hairnet.

A video then showed somebody pushing Bristowe out of the clinic in a wheelchair. She was still wearing the hairnet and seemingly joked about it being “embarrassing” as the person filming laughed behind the camera.

Quoting Meryl Streep’s famous line from The Devil Wears Prada, Bristowe captioned the post: “Don’t be ridiculous Andrea, everyone wants to look like this.”

Per the Mayo Clinic, a blepharoplasty “is a type of surgery that removes excess skin from the eyelids,” adding that “sagging skin around the eyes can reduce side vision (peripheral vision), especially the upper and outer parts of the visual field,” with aging. 

“Blepharoplasty can reduce or get rid of these vision problems. The surgery can also make eyes look younger and more alert,” the site states.

Bristowe’s latest post comes after she shared a photo of herself in a bed at a medical facility, wearing a hospital gown and a blue hairnet. In the photo shared to Instagram on Saturday, the reality star had her eyes covered as she relaxed while seemingly hooked up to a monitor after she underwent the procedure.

In the post, the Off the Vine podcast host revealed that she wasn’t the only one in the household recovering, as she said her two golden retrievers, Pinot and Ramen, had also had stitches.

“A lot going on at the Bristowe residence. All 3 of us have stitches. I got an upper bleph (take it to your group chat if you wanna be negative). Ramen had a fatty tumor removed (Please pray for it to come back normal) Pinot had a tooth pulled (He was so high when he came home he had to eat laying down),” the TV personality wrote in the caption, adding photos and videos of her beloved pups.

“And my back yard is torn up!! (Which means dogs go on leashes every time they have to go, even if it’s 3am),” she added, sharing a video of the work being done outside her home.

“So, good news. I saw a dog today. Have you ever seen one? You probably have. Anyways,” Bristowe concluded in the caption.

Bristowe has been open about the procedures she’s had through the years, clapping back at fans in 2021 after people commented on how “different” she looked since she first appeared on The Bachelorette back in 2015.

“6 years since I was on the show, Brow lift, brow micro blading, got my teeth bonded, some filler In my lips, aging, darker hair, and I finally learned how to contour. Oh and I put on some weight 💪🏼,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) at the time.

“So sick of women commenting on my face. Jesus,” she added in response to another critical social media post about her.
