Jenni âJWowwâ Farley is opening up about her upbringing.
In an exclusive clip from the Oct. 31 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, JWoww sits down with Bunnie XO to talk about her tumultuous childhood, which she was initially hesitant to discuss.
âI donât like to talk about my childhood,â she admits. âItâs weird. Iâm literally near 40 and I still feel embarrassed to speak about how I was raised. I havenât even told my roommates.â
She says that her parents were only 20 years old when she was born, and when she was just 2, her mother âgot very sick with a mental illness.â When Bunnie asks if JWoww is comfortable with saying more, JWoww decides to divulge the diagnosis. âNobody knows but I will say itâs schizophrenia,â she responds.
âMy mom was a schizophrenic too,â Bunnie chimes in before JWoww questions if she talks about it publicly.Â
âYeah, Iâve been very vocal about it,â Bunnie says.
âI donât really speak on it because sheâs still here and I donât want to define her as that,â JWoww then explains. âBut at 22 thatâs what she got diagnosed with.â
JWoww then recalls what triggered her momâs illness to become worse years after being diagnosed.
âAround, I think it was my fourth or fifth birthday, my grandmother left my birthday party, a teenager hit the brakes and skidded across ice and T-boned my grandmotherâs car,â she shares. âMy grandmother died.â
âIt was my momâs mom and because my mom was suffering with mental illness so badly, she just couldnât do it anymore,â she adds.
âOh I just got chills,â Bunnie says as JWoww continues: âMy dad at like 25, 26 was like, well you know, here we are.â
Other cast members of Jersey Shore are also opening up this season, with Sammi âSweetheartâ Giancola revealing her years-long IVF journey for the first time.
âEverybody puts their personal stuff out there, and I was just nervous about the whole thing, but Iâm like, âOkay, now I guess itâs my turn to just say what Iâm actually really going through,ââ she told PEOPLE in September.
âI just wanted to keep it a secret for a really long time, even though I know Iâm being filmed,â she added. âBecause I was just scared to be out to them and, if itâs not what I thought, am I strong enough to be able to tell everybody that it didnât work â like my family, my friends, my cast members?â
