Why Justin Timberlake Canceled the Last U.S. Show on His World Tour
Justin Timberlake is cutting the tourâthe world tourâshort.
The âSexyBackâ singer announced he was cancelling the final U.S. concert on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour just hours before he was set to take the stage in Columbus, Ohio, after falling ill.
âYou guys, Iâm heartbroken,â he wrote in a post on Instagram Feb. 27. âI have to cancel the show tonight. I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now itâs gotten the best of me.â
The 44-year-old went on to express his regret for the last-minute change of plans.
âIt kills me to disappoint you and my team worked so hard to make this show happen,â he continued. âI want to reassure you, youâll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.â
Earlier in the day, Justinâs wife Jessica Bielâwith whom he shares sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4âmarked the expected conclusion of the tour with a touching tribute to her husband of 12 years.Â
