Josh Radnor and his wife Jordana Jacobs are celebrating their first wedding anniversary!
On Monday, Jan. 6, Radnor, 50, shared two Instagram posts with dozens of photos from his and Jacobs’ wedding in 2024. As he reminisced on the special occasion, the How I Met Your Mother alum revealed that while things didn’t exactly go as planned, that made the day even more memorable.
“One year ago today I got married,” the first caption began. “Our plan was a short ceremony outside with hot chocolate and hot toddies for the guests then retire inside to the warmth for dinner and dancing. The forecast said we could expect some light flurries at around 5pm. We thought that would be delightful. Around 2:30 the snow started coming and would not stop. Our photographer and videographer from @forgedinthenorth were delighted but we were nervous. Too late to pivot inside we went ahead with our blizzard wedding. It was surreal and unforgettable.”
It continued: “Big thanks to our guests who braved the cold, surrendered to the unexpected, and opened up their rooms to new friends. To @thesistersofcedarlakes for some of the quickest pivots in wedding history. And to @jacobazia the greatest unordained Rabbi ever (and the reason we met.)”
“I honestly didn’t know if marriage was for me but it turned out it was,” he concluded. “Asking Jordana to marry me was the best decision I ever made. I love doing life alongside this kind, wise, hilarious, lovely woman.”
The images showed the two getting ready at the Cedar Lakes Estate in Hudson Valley, New York, reading their vows under the snow and even a snap of Radnor playing a song for Jacobs on the guitar during the reception. It also featured images of the blizzard, which he previously revealed trapped the guests and staff at the venue overnight.
In a second post that followed, the actor poked fun at the first thing he and Jacobs did as husband and wife.
“A few more wedding weekend pics. As well as a video of my first official act as a husband (blow-drying my wife’s feet while she got her hair touched up after the ceremony),” he wrote.

Radnor and Jacobs met in February 2022 at a meditation retreat, he told The New York Times in the past. During the trip, he said a voice told him: “That’s her. That’s your woman.”
He later revealed that he was getting married during his sold-out NYC tour stop ahead of the release of his new album Eulogy, Vol. I in November 2023. While he sang “Brooklyn Girl,” he told the audience that he wrote the song after meeting his now-wife at his friend’s “psychedelic” event.
“In an unexpected twist, we’re getting married,” he exclaimed.
