Josh Hall told his estranged wife Christina Haack that he wanted her to shut up during a tense argument as they filmed “The Flip Off” before their July 2024 split.
“This is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!” Hall, 44, said in a preview that showed them driving to the property they were flipping for the HGTV series.
Haack, 41, seemed unimpressed by his enthusiasm and remained silent, which did not sit well with him.
“You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me,” the real estate agent instructed to an unresponsive Haack.
“Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is,” he added.
After Haack — who reverted to using her maiden name post-split — continued to keep her lips shut, Josh called her “rude.”
“I don’t over talk,” Haack shot back, to which her frustrated husband replied, “Yeah, the s—t you say and I’m just like, ‘I wish you’d shut up already.”
The former “Flip or Flop” star seemed exhausted by the argument and only sighed in response.
“My wife’s pissing me off already,” Hall added, seemingly not getting the hint.
“Are we there yet?” Haack replied.
The preview then jumped to the interior designer chatting with her ex-husband and co-star, Tarek El Moussa. She informed him that she and Hall “officially split up.”
Hall and Haack were married for three years before going their separate ways in July 2024.
While Hall filed for divorce, he was reportedly “blindsided” by their separation.
“He knew there were ups and downs in their marriage, but never expected his relationship with Christina would end this way,” a source told TMZ last July.
“Josh was seriously committed to Christina … as his social, professional and romantic lives all revolved around her.”
Their divorce quickly turned ugly as Haack labeled Josh as a “gold digging little biatchh” and accused him of “stealing” from her after his rep denied that she offered him “millions” to settle their divorce.
A source told Page Six, however, that the TV personality “offered a seven-figure settlement through his attorneys and he declined it.”
They also got into a dispute over spousal support. Haack claimed that her ex was asking for an “outrageous” $65,000 per month in support, though he denied doing so.
Furthermore, the “Christina on the Coast” star had nothing good to say about her filming dynamic with Hall while chatting with Entertainment Tonight recently.
“When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” she noted.
“I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”
In another teaser for “The Flip Off,” Haack tearfully revealed that her kids asked her to dump Hall.
She shares her eldest children, daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with El Moussa and her youngest son, Hudson, 5, with Ant Anstead.
She was married to Anstead between 2018 and 2021 and to El Moussa between 2009 and 2018.
