Jon Hamm has found himself in quite the pickle.

On March 12, Apple TV+ released the highly anticipated trailer for its upcoming drama series, Your Friends & Neighbors. The show, already renewed for a second season, follows Hamm as Andrew “Coop” Cooper.

After being “fired in disgrace” and “still grappling with his recent divorce,” the former hedge fund manager “resorts to stealing from the homes of his neighbors in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined,” according to an official synopsis.

In addition to Hamm, Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt and Donovan Colan round out the star-studded cast.

The trailer begins with Coop soaking in a hot tub with his boss, who asks him how his family is doing. When he admits that he and his wife are no longer together, his boss drops an unemployment bombshell that leaves him reeling.

“What viewed from a certain perspective, life boils down to a series of interconnected decisions,” Coop says in a voiceover as a montage of how the uber wealthy live flashes on screen. “You get the house, the cars, the stuff — but how the hell can everything goes so wrong so fast?”

At a friendly gathering, Coop runs into his ex-wife (Peet). When a mutual friend commends them for their “friendly divorce,” he shoots a quick look to Sam (Munn) before the trailer transitions to the two meeting at Coop’s home in secret.

After a fun romp in the sheets, Sam admits, “You know, it’s getting harder to pretend that nothing’s going on.”

Coop may be rich in his affairs, but his bank account is at an all-time low. He seemingly meets with an advisor, Barney (Lee), who tells him he has enough funds to keep him afloat for six months. With money dwindling and no other options to be found, Coop hatches a plan.

“I’ve been thinking these houses have all this stuff no one would miss for a while, if ever,” he says as Chanel bags and birkins are shown on screen.

“Rich guy loses his big job, has liquidity problems, turns to petty crime. That’s not savvy, That’s stupidity,” a pawn shop owner says to which Coop replies, “Maybe it’s just desperation.”

Noting that his admission is “the first honest thing you’ve said,” the pawn shop owner gives him $65K for his spoils, jumpstarting Coop’s career in unsuspecting swipes.

Soon, his burglary gets in the way of his family life when he misses tennis matches. He catches himself increasingly precarious situations when he walks in on affairs and tries to keep his life of crime hidden from those he loves most.

“You suddenly realize you stopped seeing it a long time ago?” Coop asks as scenes of passionate kisses, wild police chases and more play in the trailer.
