JoJo Siwa is soaking up the final weeks of summer with boyfriend Chris Hughes, sharing a rare glimpse at their romance in a series of candid new photos.
The 23-year-old singer and dancer took to Instagram with a carousel titled simply “little bit of life,” documenting everything from work to downtime, but it was a loved-up nighttime pool moment that caught fans’ attention.
JoJo looked incredible in a black triangle bikini with contrasting white trim, wearing her blonde hair swept into a simple bun and going makeup-free for the relaxed evening.
In one photo, the former Dance Moms star sat smiling on the edge of the illuminated pool with her knees pulled towards her chest, showing off her toned physique and collection of tattoos.
A second snap captured a far more intimate moment as JoJo sat on Chris’ shoulders in the water, playfully holding onto his hair while he covered his face with his hands.
Chris, 33, made his feelings about the photo dump clear, responding to his girlfriend’s post with a heart.
The couple’s latest photographs come more than a year after their unexpected romance began inside the Celebrity Big Brother UK house.
JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes’ relationship
JoJo and the former Love Island star met while filming Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025 and initially insisted their unusually close bond was purely platonic.
That friendship soon developed into something more, however, and JoJo confirmed in June 2025 that they were officially dating, revealing at the time that she was “absolutely head over heels” for Chris.
Their relationship has since gone from strength to strength despite the couple having to navigate long distance, with JoJo based primarily in the US and Chris in the UK.
In June, JoJo revealed that the pair’s current “goal” is simply to find ways of spending more time together.
“We’re very, very lucky,” she told People, explaining that she particularly values the more private side of their relationship away from social media and public scrutiny.
The performer marked their first anniversary in May with an emotional tribute to Chris, describing him as “the greatest gift” she had ever received and her “bestest friend.”
Reflecting on their first year together, she added: “I wake up with more love every day, more gratitude every day, and a bigger smile on my face every day.”
Their relationship has also influenced JoJo’s music. Earlier this year, she revealed that her single Serendipity was inspired by Chris, whom she affectionately called her “very sweet love Christopher.”
“I think that when it’s meant to be, it is, and when it’s meant to be, it’ll be right,” she said of their connection.
JoJo’s relationship with her body
JoJo’s carefree bikini photos also come after the star has previously spoken candidly about the complicated relationship she has had with food, fitness and body image after growing up in the public eye.
Speaking on her JoJo Siwa Now podcast, the dancer admitted that years of seeing herself on camera and being subjected to criticism online had made it difficult to feel comfortable with her appearance.
“It’s very tough to like what you look like,” she said, explaining that she had previously fallen into unhealthy thought patterns around food.
Her experience filming Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test proved transformative. The physically demanding show forced JoJo to view food as fuel rather than something she needed to restrict, while also changing her approach to exercise.
She explained that focusing on becoming physically stronger and ensuring her body received the nutrition it needed ultimately helped shift her mindset.
JoJo now advocates a considerably more balanced approach, stressing the importance of listening to what her body needs while leaving room for foods she simply enjoys. “Overall, happiness is what matters,” she said.
And happiness certainly appears to be the theme of her latest update, with her relaxed poolside photos offering another glimpse at the quieter life JoJo and Chris have been building together away from their packed work schedules.
Chris, meanwhile, could soon be returning to the show that first brought the couple together. The former Love Island star is reportedly in line to front a new Big Brother vodcast following the axing of companion show Late & Live
