Jackie Templeton and Blackie Parrish are back together after more than four decades!
Demi Moore and her former General Hospital costar John Stamos were spotted reuniting at the AARPâs Movies for Grownups Awards on Saturday, Feb. 8. There, Stamos, 61, presented Moore, 62, with the ceremonyâs prize for best actress for her work in The Substance.
At the start of their illustrious careers, the pair starred together on ABC daytime soap opera. The showâs official Instagram account posted a peek of the reunion with a sweet post on Monday, Feb. 10 post, sharing a red carpet photo of the pair with the caption, âJackie Templeton and Blackie Parrish â together again!â
After the event, Stamos celebrated his former costarâs achievement with a heartfelt Instagram post, which included clips and images of the pair throughout the past 40 years. Stamos recalled, âWe had big hair, big dreams, and enough hairspray between us to single-handedly destroy the ozone layer.â
He continued: âHer performance in The Substance doesnât just push boundariesâit flips them the bird and walks away in slow motion! It takes on themes of aging, body trauma, and the relentless pressure to stay forever young, forcing us to confront the absurd idea that a womanâs worth has an expiration date.â
âSpoiler alert: it doesnât. If anything, Demi is proof that some things only get better with timeâlike fine wine, classic rock, and the number of abs she has,â he concluded. âProud of you my friend. XO JS.â
Moore and Stamos starred as investigative reporter Jackie and rocker Albert âBlackie,â respectively. Mooreâs portrayal of the investigative reporter was her first major TV role. As for Stamos, it was his first-ever professional acting gig.Â
Both joined the long-running soap in January 1982 and departed in April 1984.Â
Stamosâ character left the show after his character was sentenced to prison for the murder of Lou Swenson (Danielle von Zerneck) while Mooreâs character exited the series after her partner Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) married another woman. The character was recast 36 years later, and Kim Delaney took over the role in October 2020, but departed in June 2021. Despite the overlapping time, the pair did not share plot arcs.

Moore became a member of the Brat Pack just a year after leaving General Hospital, when she scored the role of Jules in St. Elmoâs Fire. This ultimately led her to box office hits throughout the 1990s, including Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal and Striptease.
Now, Moore has been awarded for her work in The Substance by AARP, the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards. She has also been nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Independent Spirit Award.
