There’s a new kid on the Christmas movie block!
New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre is starring in a festive flick for The Roku Channel. Jingle Bell Love also stars Heartland‘s Michelle Morgan — and, as you can see in PEOPLE’s exclusive first-look photos — its halls are decked!
According to the official synopsis, the movie “follows Jack Cooper (McIntyre) as he visits his late wife’s hometown for Christmas and gets more than he bargained for when his determined daughter (Delia Chambers) decides to match him up with a charming local shop owner (Morgan).”
“This movie has all the holidays feels you could hope for,” McIntyre, 51, said in a statement. “It’s so special to play a dad to this amazing daughter, Delia Chambers, who keeps me on my toes and shows how to keep believing in the season of miracles.”
The movie, which is directed by Anne De Léan. also features a new original song performed by McIntyre, titled “A Brand New Christmas.”
Morgan, 43, admitted in a statement that she “still can’t believe” she was able to perform alongside McIntyre.
“I know that our music will move audiences, especially Joey’s original song ‘A Brand New Christmas,’ and that Jingle Bell Love will bring some real magic into people’s lives this Christmas,” she added.
This isn’t McIntyre’s first time releasing a holiday track: He put out a solo Christmas album, Come Home for Christmas, in 2011. As an actor, he last appeared on Chicago Fire earlier this year.
“Our audiences love heartwarming, fun stories — especially during the holidays, said Morgan Pichinson, Roku Originals scripted content lead. “We can’t wait for them to unwrap Jingle Bell Love. We’re proud to bring original programming that people can celebrate and connect over to The Roku Channel.” (Sabrina Lyall serves as the platform’s scripted coordinator.)
