Jodie Turner-Smith reunites with ex Joshua Jackson on sun-soaked getaway

Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson showcased their co-parenting prowess as they spent time together on vacation with their daughter, Juno, years after their October 2023 split. 

The former couple, who welcomed Juno in April 2020, enjoyed a family getaway to Nevis, a stunning island in the Caribbean Sea that is part of the West Indies. Jodie shared insight into their time together in an Instagram carousel, and included several photos of her cuddling up to her six-year-old.

The dream team

In one snap, Joshua could be seen holding Juno on his lap and talking with her, pointing to their close bond. “Dreamy days at @fsnevis,” the star wrote in the caption, as fans took to the comment section to share their delight over Jodie and Joshua’s reunion.

“You two seem to be co-parenting nicely. A little girl needs both her mama and her daddy, and it’s nice seeing that represented here in your post!” wrote one fan, while another added: “You two are smashing it, and your daughter will thrive off the back of it.”

“Love the Dad add…Divorce can definitely be cordial with respect and done in love for the child/children,” said another, while a fourth chimed in: “You two are so good together.”

The pair first met in 2018 and tied the knot a year later, before announcing that they were going their separate ways in October 2023. Jodie and Joshua finalized their divorce in May 2025, and now share joint custody of Juno.  

A child of divorce

They have both been open about the highs and lows of co-parenting, with Jodie sharing on the Joy 101 podcast that they have centered Juno in all of their decisions.

“I’m a child of divorce myself and so is my ex-husband,” she explained. “And so, it’s always been important to think about, ‘Okay, what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter?’ Because it is her new reality.”

“We’re learning as well and not always getting it totally right – but the idea is always two homes filled with love. And I’m like, ‘You got two houses, girl.'”

“It’s like you got to walk this line between obviously being age appropriate and child-centered in the way that you talk about it,” she added. “But also keeping it real so that she has an understanding of what this means.”

The 39-year-old shared on the podcast that she was “amazed” by her daughter and loved seeing her grow and change. “I am so enjoying watching her grow because hanging out with her is so amazing. She really is my little, tiny best friend. I love some of our conversations that we have.”

Meanwhile, Joshua shared on the Dinner’s On Me podcast that he wanted to break the family cycle and be present in his daughter’s life.

“My father’s response to difficulty was to run away. And instead of doing that, I’ve had the opportunity to give my daughter the opposite experience,” he explained.

“It’s my job, shared with my ex-wife, to do everything we can to nurture you, cultivate you, and give you all the tools you need in life.”
