Jill Zarin was “proud” to be responsible for the demise of “Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy,” Reza Farahan claims.
The “Valley: Persian Style” star recalled Zarin bragging to him about the show’s failure while the two of them filmed the Amazon Freevee reality series “The GOAT” in 2024.
“We were standing in the doorway about to do a competition, she said to me, ‘You know that show fell apart because of me,’” Farahan said on Page Six Radio Wednesday.
When Bravo rebooted “RHONY” in 2023 with an all-new cast, the network announced a second show called “RHONY: Legacy” that would feature OG stars. However, the series ended up being just a single season of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” allegedly due to failed contract negotiations.
The “Shahs of Sunset” alum claimed Zarin told him she wanted the same amount of money her fellow “RHONY” alum Luann de Lesseps was being paid, but Bravo allegedly told her she “didn’t deserve it because [de Lesseps] had been on [the air] this whole time and [Zarin] wasn’t.”
Farahan, 52, went on to claim Zarin, 62, said she was “proud the show had fallen apart” because she “put her foot down and was demanding money.”
However, back in 2023, Zarin exclusively told Page Six that she had nothing to do with “RHONY: Legacy” falling apart.
“’Legacy’ didn’t happen because it just wasn’t meant to happen, that’s the truth,” the reality star told us at the premiere of “Book Club: The Next Chapter” at the time.
“It has nothing to do with me. It has to do with the producers and what they decided to do. I don’t really know.”
Farahan’s revelation comes just one day after Zarin was fired from the original cast’s new E! series, “The Golden Life.”
The show’s producers, Blink49 Studios, announced they cut ties with her because of her Bad Bunny tirade in a statement on Tuesday.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values,” the producers shared in a statement to Variety.
We broke the news that Zarin, Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Kelly Bensimon would be appearing in a new show on E! together. The series will feature the women reuniting in Palm Beach, Fl.
Zarin has since deleted her video on Instagram, in which she called Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance, “the worst halftime show ever.”
In the clip, she also said the performance was “totally inappropriate” because it was entirely in Spanish and the musician was “grabbing his ‘g’-area.”
“You’ve got all these young kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds because he’s so insecure. Seriously.”
Although a number of Bravolebrities hit back at Zarin’s take, sources close to the axed reality star tell Page Six that “E! completely overreacted,” and “If they’d waited a week, it would have been fine. The show doesn’t air for nine months.”
