Jessica Simpson is looking to say goodbye to a piece of her married life with Eric Johnson.
The singerâs Hidden Hills, Calif. mansion is currently on the market, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The property has been the family home of the singer, 44, and retired NFL star, 45, as well as their three children âdaughters Maxwell âMaxiâ Drew, 12, and Birdie Mae, 5, and son Ace Knute, 11 â since 2013.
Simpson confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively that she and Johnson are separating after 10 years of marriage, on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
âEric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,â Simpson said in a statement to PEOPLE. âOur children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.âÂ
Her sprawling estate was listed for sale for $17.9 million on January 11, according to Zillow, three days before the news of the coupleâs separation.
Simpson had previously put it up for sale once before in September 2023 with a higher price tag of $22 million, but removed the listing in August 2024 after it failed to find a buyer.
The former listing came shortly after the mogul shared that she was âso happyâ to move to Tennessee for the summer with Johnson and their children.
âBeing in Nashville, even my kids are like, âYou laugh the whole time. Youâre so happy,'â the star told E! News in August 2023 about her love for the area. âItâs because Iâm not on guard. Iâm with a lot of like-minded people. Itâs not about the celebritiesâitâs really about the music and the heart and the conversation.â
The 13,274-square-foot mansion has seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms and seven partial baths, and a four-car garage. Itâs situated on 2.3 acres that hold a large pool with a separate shallow pool, a hot tub, a BBQ island, and an outdoor shower.
Brett Harrison of Coldwell Banker holds the listing. He did not immediately respond to PEOPLEâs request for comment.
AÂ source told PEOPLEÂ in November that the âWith Youâ singer and her husband âvery much live separate lives.â
Johnson was spotted without his wedding ring in November, around the same time Simpson teased her âcomebackâ to music with a cryptic Instagram post that featured photos of herself in a recording studio.
The pair first met through a mutual friend in 2010 and were engaged that November after six months of dating. They tied the knot in July 2014 after four years together.
