Jessica Alba Debuts Delicate Tattoo in Cryptic Instagram Post Following Split from Cash Warren

Jessica Alba is sporting some new ink!

The actress revealed a new tattoo in a post on Instagram on Feb. 26 — a message in fine script written on her forearm. The artsy new addition comes weeks after Alba officially filed for divorce from estranged husband Cash Warren on Feb. 7.

“The current chapter 💫,” she captioned the post.

Her tattoo artist Daniel Winter — also known as winterstone — also posted shots from her appointment. The artist has also worked with Matt Damon, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Emma Roberts and Mandy Moore.

In 2019, Alba told Refinery29 that she regretted a couple of her tattoos — a cluster of flowers on her neck and “kind of a tramp stamp” depicting a bow.

“I got it when I was, like, 17 and I’m so irritated that I got it,” Alba said of the flowers. “I got it lasered many times and it’s not coming out.”

However, she said she stands by her three zodiac constellation tattoos — each in honor of her children — across her left arm. She wanted tattoos that would be “meaningful over time,” she told the outlet, so the zodiac symbols were perfect — “the kids are forever,” she said.

Alba’s carousel of photos also offered a glimpse into her life lately, including a photo with her kids, a poem, a few selfies, a coyote, picturesque scenery, a trip to the gym, self-care mantras, drinks and frozen yogurt.

The actress’ new tattoo comes just weeks after she announced on Jan. 16 that she and Warren, whom she met in 2005 while filming Fantastic Four and was with for 20 years, were going their separate ways.

“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” Alba wrote in an Instagram post announcing the split. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”

She added, “We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family.”

The pair got engaged in 2007 and eloped May 19, 2008, at a California courthouse. Alba and Warren share three children — daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and son Hayes, 7.
