Jennifer Lopez causes stir with bittersweet photos of rare outing with grown-up twins in Italy

Jennifer Lopez’s twins are all grown up in the star’s latest carousel on social media.

The singer shared a heartwarming post online, featuring rare pictures from her family getaway in Italy.

Jennifer welcomed her children Oskar and Max in 2008 with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The sweet carousel featured precious memories of the trio exploring the sights, sounds and tastes of Italy together.

They were spotted dining, visiting tourist hot spots, and documenting every moment in between during their European getaway.

Jennifer captioned the post: “Road tripping with my coconuts, before they head off to college,” with a crying emoji.

Jennifer gets vulnerable 

This isn’t the first time that Jennifer has emotionally opened up about becoming an empty nester soon.

She recently revealed on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen: “It’s an emotional time. It’s been the three of us. People have come in and out of my life, but it’s been the three of us. They’ve always been there, and I’ve always been there.”

Lopez continued: “I just never thought they would not be there. I just never thought that far ahead. I thought, too, that they’re so independent — I gave them roots and wings. [I thought], ‘It’s great, this is how it is… this is a healthy mom thing to do.'”

She added: “And then about a couple of months ago, I was writing something for their end-of-the-school-year thing for them to put in the program at the graduation, and…every time it comes up, I just start crying. I could cry right now.”

Jennifer’s take on parenting

As her children get ready to head off to college in August, she believes that her actions have taught her twins more than any advice of hers can.

She explained on the show: “They do what they see you do. It’s not so much what you tell them all the time. Even though I’m trying to download everything I’ve ever learned in my life [and] every lesson I’ve ever [learned], to them right now before they leave in August, I still feel like who you are as a person, how you act, what they see you do – if you work hard, they become more hard workers.”
