Jennifer Garner is feeling nostalgic. The actress took to Instagram on September 1 to share a carousel of photographs, both past and present. However, what stole everyone’s attention was a throwback picture of Jennifer, as she looks strikingly similar to her daughter, Violet Affleck.
The snap captured Jennifer posing with her date at what appeared to be her prom. The star wore a frilly pink gown that featured a voluminous silhouette with puffy short sleeves and white lace accents. Jennifer’s brunette locks were styled into voluminous curls while her makeup was left natural and radiant as she flashed a big smile that showed off her dimples.
Meanwhile, Jennifer’s prom date donned a gray suit with a crisp white shirt and matching baby-pink bow tie.
Aside from the darker hair color, Jennifer’s facial features look very similar to that of her 20-year-old daughter. Violet has been enjoying her summer in Los Angeles before she returns to Yale University for her junior year. While Violet is often seen wearing a face mask, recently she has sported a series of summery looks.
Back in September 2025, Violet delivered an emotional speech at the United Nations advocating for clean air and the use of masks to help prevent the spread of long COVID-19. Violet has long been an advocate for public health and addressed the UN while wearing a K95 mask. “We are told by leaders across the board that we are the future,” she said. “But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes.”
