Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans is calling out members of her family after reports about her son Jace allegedly pulling a gun on his grandmother Barbara Evans.
“Whoever thought the enemy is my own mother, sad AF,” Jenelle, 34, shared via X on Tuesday, March 10. “And to think the empathy I had for her all these months because of her health.”
Jenelle continued her social media messages by referencing her sister, Ashleigh Evans.
“Another evil one that doesn’t have custody of her son,” Jenelle claimed. “Take what she says with a grain of salt. Kthx, bye.”
She concluded, “Imagine you being the toxic one, cut you off to protect myself and my kids, then all hell breaks loose. That seems to be the common theme amongst everyone lately in my life.”
TMZ reported on Tuesday that Jenelle’s 16-year-old son had been placed in a mental health facility after allegedly pulling a gun on Barbara late last month. The outlet claimed that the incident occurred while Jace was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. (In a second report published on Wednesday, March 11, TMZ claimed that Jenelle was gearing up to visit her son.)
“At this time, we respectfully ask for privacy for the family and Jenelle Evans,” a rep for the MTV star told Page Six on Tuesday. “This is a personal matter, and space and understanding are appreciated as they focus on their well-being and time together. Thank you for respecting their privacy during this time.”
TMZ reported on Tuesday that police responded to Barbara’s North Carolina home, where Jace had been living. Us Weekly reached out to Jenelle’s team and law enforcement for comment.
Janelle’s sister, Ashleigh, spoke about the alleged incident involving Jace in her own social media posts on Tuesday.
“My nephew did not pull a firearm out on [his] grandmother or himself. That is a lie,” she wrote via X. “None of that [is] true… who[ever] keeps fabricating these lies is a sick person.”
She added, “The police also never found a gun in my mother’s house. That is a straight up lie. [It’s] most likely my sister selling the story because she’s angry. She’s losing control.”
Jenelle shares Jace with ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis. She is also the mother of son Kaiser Orion, 11, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, and daughter Ensley Jolie, 9, whom she shares with estranged husband David Eason.
