Jay Cutler was allegedly involved in a car accident shortly before his DUI arrest.

The former NFL star rear-ended another car in downtown Franklin, Tenn., Thursday night and allegedly attempted to flee the scene before police arrived, the Franklin Police Department told Page Six in a statement on Friday.

Per the police report, Cutler allegedly offered the other driver $2,000 if he didn’t call the police.

When officers arrived on the scene, the police claimed Cutler’s eyes were “bloodshot” and that he was “slurring his words.” They also alleged there was “a strong odor of alcohol” on the reality TV star.

Additionally, the arresting officer wrote in the police report that he noticed Cutler was “staggering, swaying, and heavy-footed while walking” and spoke “thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled.”

The officer then asked Cutler how much alcohol he had consumed that night, to which the “Very Cavallari” star answered, “None.” However, he later admitted he had “a little bit” to drink, per the police report.

“Cutler refused field sobriety tests and was taken to a local hospital where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant,” the police department’s official statement continued.

The former athlete — who shares three kids with ex Kristin Cavallari — also denied having been involved in a car accident. However, police reported a “small dent in the rear” of the other vehicle at the scene.

Upon search of Cutler’s white Ram truck, officers found two firearms in the vehicle, including a loaded pistol.

Cutler was arrested on charges of gun possession, failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision and violation of implied consent law in addition to the DUI arrest.

The father of three was booked into the Williamson County Jail and was released later that night on a $5,000 bond.

Reps for Cutler did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
