Jason Tartick might be packing his bags soon.

The Bachelorette alum, 36, answered questions from his followers on his Instagram Stories on Monday, Dec. 9, on topics such as dating, moving and dogs.

When one follower asked Tartick if he planned to relocate from Nashville, where he moved in June 2019 to live with then-girlfriend Kaitlyn Bristowe, he responded, “I’m going to move in the near future. It’s time. Just figuring out then when.”

The Bachelor Nation couple got engaged two years later, but announced their breakup in August 2023. Tartick stayed in Nashville to continue to share custody of his and Bristowe’s dogs Pinot and Ramen with his ex.

Tartick stated on his Dec. 9 Instagram Stories that he would continue to talk about the dogs, and that he planned to rescue another pup in 2025.

The banker admitted in his book Talk Money to Me: The 8 Essential Financial Questions to Discuss With Your Partner that he should’ve put more thought into moving in with Bristowe, 39, and adopting two dogs with the former Bachelorette.

“Prior to June 2019, before we moved in together, my ex and I never had a candid conversation about money,” he writes. “I never told her the important numbers that defined my financial health, and she didn’t tell me hers. Hell, I didn’t even ask. I did everything I criticize and teach not to do now — I made financial assumptions and avoided talking money! At move-in time, we didn’t have transparency on each other’s financial status, and we didn’t have a plan for our financial future together. We were caught up in love and life, which is easy to do, especially when you’re going full steam ahead at 200 miles per hour!”

Tartick also details how he and Bristowe purchased “a joint living asset without a contract,” referring to Ramen, and then did the same thing with Pinot.

“I’m unemployed, essentially homeless, moving into my new girlfriend’s house across the country — 2,389 miles away from my current residence to a city I know next to nothing about,” Tartick continues. “And the cherry on top: I’m moving into the house that she rented with her ex and later purchased herself. All the while, we still haven’t had these basic conversations about money. If I could go back in time, I would shake myself by the shoulders and yell, ‘Wake the hell up from the love clouds, Jason! These conversations are mandatory!’”

Following the split from Bristowe, Tartick spoke on social media about wanting to move to New York City. He even started looking at apartments in the Big Apple, but that seemed to take a back seat when he started dating influencer Kat Stickler, who lives in Florida, earlier this year.

Tartick and Stickler, 30, confirmed their breakup in October, and the Trading Secrets podcast host informed his followers on Dec. 9 that he hasn’t started using any dating apps since the split.

“I think the concept of dating apps are great especially for those who don’t want to or don’t have the time to ‘go out’ often to meet someone,” Tartick wrote on his Stories. “That said, I am not on any dating apps. If you see a fake out there lmk!”

When prompted by a follower to reveal “something you are learning right now,” Tartick shared, “The power our thoughts have on our happiness and productive is immense.”

“For better or worse, the past can continue to live in the present through your thoughts,” he wrote. “Choose to intercept unproductive or negative thoughts and hold onto the productive and healthy ones instead.”

Tartick told PEOPLE on Halloween that when it came to dating, “I’m mentally not there right now. I’m just trying to take care of myself right now.”
