Jason Tartick is opening up about his breakup with Kat Stickler.

On the Feb. 3 episode of his Trading Secrets podcast, Tartick, 36, spoke with fellow Bachelor Nation stars Justin Glaze and Greg Grippo about his recent relationship. Reflecting on a past trip to Disneyland, which seemingly occurred in October, Tartick revealed that was also the day he realized he and Stickler were not going to work out.

“Last time I saw you Justin [Glaze], it was Disneyland. That’s where we recorded,” Tartick recalled. “That was the day I found out things weren’t going to work in my favor in my last relationship.”

“That was quite the roller coaster of a day,” Glaze noted before Tartick continued: “That was a tough day and even a worse day after.”

Just two days after Glaze shared a video from the trip to the theme part on Oct. 10, Tartick took to his Instagram to announce the split from Stickler following six months of dating.

“I am sad to share that Kat and I are no longer together,” he wrote. “It’s fair to say that I love hard with all my heart and fall fast. Sometimes in life, that works out and other times it doesn’t. This time it didn’t.”

He continued, “Kat has brought me so much happiness and light, she brought out parts of me I never knew existed. I will forever be grateful for her and of course, sweet and MK,” referring to one of Stickler’s four children from a previous relationship.

“This chapter closes amicably, and another opens. I’ll be rooting for her happiness and I am also rooting for mine. ❤️‍🩹,” the statement concluded.

Stickler also addressed the breakup in a TikTok video.

“So with two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the right time to talk about my personal life. But a lot of you have already guessed and, yes, Jason and I have broken up,” she began.

She went on to explain that the split was “amicable” but the relationship “just didn’t work.”

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Stickler added. “I understand that with posting a relationship online you also have to show this side, the aftermath — Woohoo, so fun I love this.”

“But I just wanted to tell you guys and it’s not love wasted,” she continued. “I feel like sometimes its so easy to think that when a relationship ends that the love is wasted. But love is never wasted. So, that’s all I have to say.”

In January, Tartick shared more details about the aftermath of split on his podcast, calling it “so abrupt” and “so unexpected.”

“Then, what I was hearing, these things I’m hearing publicly about speculation of what happened. I’m just sitting in my house, like, pulling my hair out. Like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’” he went on to say. “That was, like, a really tough month. A really, really, really hard month.”

Tartick continued, “It’s really no one’s business what happened, but I will say, I’ve just seen every rumor out there and none of them are accurate. You put a gun to my head and I would never, ever be disloyal to her. I have a ton of respect and care for her.”
