Jamie Oliver’s grown-up daughter Daisy has surprise response to famous dad’s family tribute

Jamie Oliver loves nothing more than spending time with his family, and now that his oldest children have flown the nest, it’s all the more special. 

The award-winning chef was feeling in a nostalgic mood on 19 August as he took to Instagram to share a black-and-white throwback picture of himself with wife Jools Oliver and their five children. 

He wrote alongside it: “Look at this lovely bunch! Happy Wednesday lovely people.” 

The post quickly caught the attention of Jamie’s second oldest daughter, Daisy, 23. “FOMO” she wrote alongside the image, before realising that she was actually in the picture, albeit slightly disguised between her older sister and mum. She then corrected herself, adding: “Oh wait, I’m in it hahaha.”

While Jamie and Jools often share family updates on social media, they often keep their oldest children out of their posts, except for birthdays or special occasions. Daisy is currently training at university to become a nurse, while her older sister Poppy, 24, graduated in 2023, and now works in PR.

Most recently Poppy celebrated her engagement to fiancé Ben, whom she met at university. Proud mum Jools announced the happy news on social media, revealing she was “so excited, proud and happy”.

Alongside a reel featuring photos and footage of the happy couple, including their beach proposal, she wrote: “Probably one of my favourite reels so far. Our first baby Poppy Honey is getting married we are so excited, proud and happy.

“Ben we all adore you. Little did I know as we moved Pop into her second house at University, whilst I was sweating over your shoe rack flat pack you seemed very distracted with the boy who had just moved in next door… 5 years later you had met you soul mate so excited for the next chapter love you xxx.”

A glimpse inside the Oliver family’s life

Jamie and Jools are also parents to Petal, 17, Buddy, 15, and River, ten. The family live at Spains Hall, a beautiful 16-century Elizabethan country house set on a 70-acre estate. The home – located in Finchingfield, Essex, England – has been beautifully decorated and often features on the couple’s social media.

While their eldest daughters have both left the nest, Jamie and Jools look forward to their frequent family reunions. “We do still have that buzz that comes with the rhythm of school and family life with the younger three,” Jamie told HELLO! in 2025. “The two older girls might have left home, but we still speak every day, and they come back a lot, so we’re never a smaller team for long.”
