It was a family affair as Jamie posed alongside her husband Jamie Watson, Maddie and their younger daughter Ivey Joan Watson, six.

The wholesome post continued as it showcased Maddie getting her hair and makeup done, as well as posing alongside her friends.

The carousel also featured Maddie and her date, who matched her glamorous look with an all-white tuxedo, dress shoes and a powder pink bowtie.

Jamie lovingly captioned the post: “SENIOR PROM. I am fine, totally not cryingggg.” At the end of her carousel, she comically posted a picture of herself crying.

Fans react

Fans flocked to the comments to show their support. One person wrote: “Breathtaking!!! (And you’re allowed to cry!!!).”

A second follower added: “Stunning! I can’t believe she’s a senior… it seems like yesterday she was in 1st grade.” Another person commented: “Gorgeous + so grown!”

Jamie’s take on parenting

Jamie previously expressed that she made the conscious choice to keep Maddie out of the public eye and revealed: “I just wanted to get away from it as much as I could, to just go away and be a mom and figure out what I wanted, and to earn a sense of respect back for myself.”

She added: “[And] move to a town in the middle of nowhere and just raise my child. All I could be was a good mother. If anybody had anything to say after that, there was nothing I could do,” per Glamour.

Jamie had her daughter as a teen mom at 16 years old and she made the difficult decision to step away from her blossoming career and focus solely on motherhood.

In 2015, Jamie returned to her career and released her country album titled The Journey.

The following year, she emotionally shared her challenging motherhood journey in her documentary, Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out.

The Zoey 101 actress reflected on the full circle moment in the documentary, saying: “I wanna do something that I’m gonna be proud of. I’m not just a child star. I’m not just someone’s sister. And I’m not just a teen mom. I look back now, and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh.'”

About Maddie

Maddie has grown up in front of our very eyes and has many passions. She is a softball player who won the World Series championship with her teammates in 2022.

Jamie dotingly expressed just how proud she was of Maddie online, writing: “Sorryyyy, but I have to do a quick proud parent post for my 4 sport athlete who also kept a 4.0 GPA all year. So proud of her work ethic as an athlete and as a student.”
