Sasha and Morgan shippers, rejoice!

Nobody Wants This star Jackie Tohn has confirmed that the newly announced second season of the Netflix hit series will address the friendship that blossomed between Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Morgan (Justine Lupe), which caused some major drama in the season 1 finale as Sasha’s wife Esther (Tohn) realized just how close her husband is with Morgan.

“We will find out if Sasha and Morgan happen,” Tohn, 44, tells PEOPLE of what fans can expect in season 2 while attending Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween Party at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City on Oct. 31. “And we will definitely find out how Esther feels about that.”

“We’ll move forward in the storyline of whether or not Joanne is converting,” she continues of Kristen Bell’s character. “We’ll see what happens.”

Tohn also raves about her costars Bell, 44, who is a real-life close friend, and Adam Brody, who plays Bell’s love interest, the indelibly lovable Jewish rabbi Noah.

“The truth is they are as genuine and supportive and hard-working as you would imagine. When certain people have a very shiny celebrity image and you’re like, ‘There’s no way,'” Tohn says. “People always talk about like, ‘Oh, no one like Noah exists.’ Bad news: Adam Brody’s like that and he exists.”

Nobody Wants This was renewed for season 2 on Oct. 10, two weeks after its Sept. 26 premiere.

In a statement, the show’s creator Erin Foster — who pulled from her own real-life love story with her husband Simon Tikhman when creating the show — said that the series “will forever be a career highlight” and its reception “has been more than anything I could have dreamed.”

The renewal announcement also included the news that Girls‘ Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan will join as executive producers and showrunners, and Nora Silver has also joined as an executive producer.

“I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls,” Foster, 42, continued. “Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”

Foster also confirmed that work has already begun on season 2. Kaplan said in a statement that he’s “already having the best time working on it,” while Konner called it a “dream” to be working on the show.

Before the show even premiered on Netflix, Foster admitted it was “getting a really positive response” in an interview with IndieWire, revealing, “The conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential season 2.”
