Jack Schlossberg has more strong words for one of his famous family members.Â
The 32-year-old grandson of John F. Kennedy took to Instagram on Thursday, March 6, to call out actress Cheryl Hines. Hines is married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is Schlossbergâs first cousin once removed.
âHey Cheryl Hines, itâs Jack Schlossberg, I just got out of the shower,â the Democratic advocate said in a selfie video, where heâs seen wearing a towel with wet hair. âWeâve never met, but Iâve got a favor to ask. I need you to call up the family of the child who died of measles, and say sorry. Can you do that for me, babe?â
âAlmost every single case of measles is in someone whoâs not vaccinated,â Schlossberg continued. âI think youâre the perfect person to say sorry.â
On Feb. 26, the Texas Department of State Health Services reported the first death from an ongoing measles outbreak in the South Plains and Panhandle regions of the state. The school-aged child was not vaccinated.
Schlossberg has used his social media in recent months to repeatedly blast RFK Jr., occasionally roping in Hines for standing by her husband, who is a longtime anti-vaccine activist.
Hinesâ rep has yet to respond to PEOPLEâs request for comment.
RFK Jr. is Donald Trumpâs newly confirmed Secretary of Health and Human Services. During Trumpâs first Cabinet meeting on Feb. 26, the president called on Kennedy to answer a reporterâs question about the outbreak in Texas. Kennedy shrugged it off, saying that measles outbreaks are ânot unusualâ and happen in the U.S. âevery yearâ â which was immediately contradicted by doctors.
He later backtracked in an essay published to Fox News on March 2, writing, âAs the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, I am deeply concerned about the recent measles outbreak.â
However, while sharing the steps he was taking to help Texas handle the outbreak and reiterating how seriously he was taking the outbreak, Kennedy maintained, âThe decision to vaccinate is a personal one.â
âAs healthcare providers, community leaders, and policymakers, we have a shared responsibility to protect public health. This includes ensuring that accurate information about vaccine safety and efficacy is disseminated,â he continued, while also encouraging parents to explore âtherapeutic medications.â
While Hines has yet to publicly address her husbandâs management of the measles outbreak, she has previously shared some of her thoughts on vaccines.
During Kennedyâs 2024 presidential campaign, she admitted to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in order to continue filming Curb Your Enthusiasm during the pandemic.
âI did what I needed to do to work,â she said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. âIf I wasnât working, would things be different? Maybe. Iâm not the kind of person that gets the flu shot.â

In the same interview, the 59-year-old actress addressed some of her husbandâs âradicalâ opinions.
âWhen people say heâs a conspiracy theorist, I really donât know what to make of that,â Hines admitted. âAt the same time, I often think about what his life has been like â to watch his uncle be assassinated and then watch his father be assassinated. I do find it mysterious and odd and all of it to be larger-than-life.â
