Ivanka Trump was glowing as she stepped out with her husband, Jared Kushner, for a Malibu date night alongside a group of friends, just days after the 44-year-old shared insight into her family getaway to Iceland.
Ivanka looked stylish in a navy tie-front shirt that showcased her toned abs, paired with off-white linen pants featuring navy floral detailing. The mother of two accessorized with a white clutch and brown heels, and wore her blonde locks in a blowout.
Her husband was by her side in beige pants, a navy tee and a navy bomber jacket, paired with beige sneakers. The duo enjoyed a night out at Nobu with their friends on Sunday, having recently returned from their European trip.
Spending time with family
Ivanka shared several photos from the getaway with Jared and their kids Arabella, Joseph and Theodore, including a snap of her soaking in the famed Blue Lagoon as she rocked an icy blue bikini.
In another post, the former model shared photos of her cozying up to Jared as he held her in his arms and they sweetly kissed.
The pair appear to be closer than ever in recent weeks after Jared was absent from her family’s Father’s Day celebration at Camp David in Maryland.
“Last Sunday, we gathered at Camp David with my dad, my siblings, our children and their cousins,” Ivanka wrote on Instagram at the time. “Grateful for another Father’s Day together…Jared couldn’t be with us. But his absence was one born on purpose. And we felt his presence all the same.”
Ivanka and Jared’s controversial project
The married couple have been making headlines in recent months, after their intention to build a luxury resort on a protected Albanian island sparked nationwide protests in the European country. Ivanka revealed details of their plan on the David Senra podcast in May, sharing that she and Jared stumbled upon Sazan Island in 2021 while on vacation with friends.
“We were on a friend’s boat, and we stopped for a swim. Effectively, that’s how we found it,” she recalled. “We swam to the islands, went on a hike barefoot all the way up to the top, and we were just captivated, and it stayed with us ever since.”
Sazan Island is a former military outpost known for its rich biodiversity, particularly the flamingos that inhabit the nearby wetlands. As such, the protests, which have been dubbed “The Flamingo Revolution”, have been going on since May.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has backed Ivanka and Jared’s billion-dollar project, sharing in a statement: “Albania should not be a country that fears an extraordinary project like this one, where exceptional partners have come together to invest four billion euros. There is no chance for this investment to stop as long as I am here.”
Dua Lipa’s take on the protests
Meanwhile, pop star Dua Lipa, who is Kosovan-Albanian, criticized the government’s decision to amend legislation that prevented construction in environmentally sensitive areas.
“What I actually find concerning is the principle that the government could just change the law to remove the environmental protection without any kind of public consultation,” she said on her Service95 Book Club podcast. “I find it so inspiring to see how much people really care,” she added of the nationwide protests.
