Beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira had been candid about husband Cody Hawken’s sobriety journey before the pair split.
Nogueira shared in February 2026 that she and Hawken had parted ways after two years of marriage and explained that she would not be “sharing any details whatsoever” as to why they “made this decision.” She noted that the “main reason” why she was doing so was to “protect” Hawken.
“Cody and I are in this together. Please don’t pull us apart,” she said in the video before adding a request for her followers. “Cody and I have been very open with his struggles with addiction — and I’m going to ask you if you can please leave that out of the conversation. They are two separate things. It is hard enough as it is to be an addict and to struggle to stay sober.”
Nogueira then revealed that she and Hawken made the decision to separate “last year,” explaining that she’s “spent the last few months processing this, a lot of crying, a lot of talking to family [and] friends, therapy, everything you can think of to get to a place where I can make this video.”

Mikayla Nogueira Says Cody Hawken Lived in Separate Home Before Rehab
Mikayla Nogueira shared in an April 2025 TikTok video that Cody Hawken was in “rehab,” explaining that her husband’s story “is not mine to share, but he has given me his blessing to talk about it today.”
“It takes an immense amount of courage to give up your will and enter treatment,” she said. “And I could not be more proud. As many of you have noticed for the last several months, Cody really has not been around, and now you know why, a lot of you have put two and two together.”
Nogueira explained that this wouldn’t come as a surprise to her “longtime loyal followers,” noting Hawken “has struggled with addiction from a very young age” and shared his story on TikTok previously.
“Understand sobriety, recovery is not linear. Addiction is a disease, and it’s very complex, and unless you yourself or someone very close to you has struggled with addiction, it’s hard to understand. Relapsing is a part of the recovery process, not a failure,” she continued.
Nogueira shared that Hawken relapsed with drugs in January 2024 and with alcohol in April 2024. “I am not new to addiction or addicts, but what I am new to is marrying one,” Nogueira said, noting that putting on “a brave face” for the “entire year” of 2024 was “the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.”
Nogueira noted that 2024 included “some of the scariest nights” of her life, sometimes involving phone calls to authorities to help Hawken.
“I’m talking calling the police because I’m scared my husband’s gonna die. To anyone who has had a spouse or a family member who struggles with addiction, you know what I mean when I say I didn’t know who that person was anymore. I felt like I had lost my husband,” she said while becoming emotional.
Nogueira ultimately “had to make a really difficult decision to remove Cody” from their home. Hawken got his own apartment, but Nogueira “secretly took” a key in case he overdosed and no one was able to get into his home. While it’s “easy to judge addicts,” Nogueira said Hawken “is the kindest, sweetest, most selfless, intelligent person I’ve ever met.”
Mikayla Nogueira Says Cody Hawken Is ‘Happy’ to Be Sober
Mikayla Nogueira shared in an April 2025 TikTok video that Cody Hawken would be returning home from rehab, noting that she would be “transparent” about how she is feeling.
“I am also extremely f***ing excited. I miss my husband. He has not fully been in my life since December. Cody is my partner and my best friend, I love him with all my heart,” Nogueira said. “I am also extremely nervous and scared. I think for obvious reasons. Cody has not fully been in my life since December, and the Cody that I know right now is the one in active addiction. In 2024, that brought me a lot of pain and trauma. It’s definitely going to take me a minute to adjust.”
Nogueira shared that Hawken said it was almost like having their first date over again, since she would technically be meeting “a new Cody in sobriety.” Nogueira said she could “not be more proud” of Hawken, saying he was “extremely excited” to be coming home.
“He is excited and happy to be sober. It takes a lot of work in rehab to get to that mindset of wanting to be sober,” she explained. “I am ready to support my husband in his sobriety in whatever way I can be of support.”
Mikayla Nogueira Explains Cody Hawken ‘Doesn’t Like to Be Tiptoed Around’ Amid Recovery
Mikayla Nogueira clapped back at a user saying she was “disrespectful” for serving alcohol inside her home with Cody Hawken.
“Cody has been sober for six months. Do you ever consider that Cody himself is extremely proud of himself that he was able to have a housewarming party with alcohol and coexist at this party with no desire to drink? Did you ever consider that?” Nogueira said in an August 2025 TikTok video, explaining that the pair had a conversation about the beverages served at their house.
She continued, “The way everyone goes about their own recovery is different. The one thing I need you to understand is that Cody doesn’t like to be tiptoed around, OK? He wants to be integrated into a space just like everybody else.”
Nogueira explained that she stood by Hawken’s side when he was at his “lowest moment” in his life, just like he has “stayed” for her. Nogueira said Hawken had the “best f***ing time” at the party, explaining that he would have told her if he felt uncomfortable.
“Cody is so happy and feeling so good that he was not bothered by the alcohol at the party whatsoever,” she said, adding that Hawken was going to “continue to kick ass on his sobriety journey.”
