I’m a Shopping Editor, and These Are My Favorite Walmart Finds from Last Year I’m Bringing Into 2025

One of the perks of my job as a shopping editor is testing a variety of products. In 2024, I tried over 100 beauty, fashion, home, and travel finds, and a sizable amount was from my favorite under-the-radar retailer: Walmart. 

I’ve kept an eye on Walmart’s offerings for two years now, so you could say I’m an expert on what’s worth buying, especially as someone who reviews the items first-hand and puts their quality to the test. These are the eight Walmart must-haves I discovered last year and plan to keep using in 2025, including luxury-smelling perfumes, velvety-soft throw blankets, roomy crossbody bags, high-quality cardigans, and more starting at $12.

No Boundaries Hands-Free Crossbody Bag

After seeing it trending on social media, I debated purchasing a Baggu bag but couldn’t justify the price point at the time. This No Boundaries Hands-Free crossbody is nearly identical and a fraction of the price. I traveled with it on a two-week trip to Italy and could fit my essentials, including bulkier items like a camera, portable charger, and passport case — with room to spare. 

Better Homes & Gardens Natural Tie Dye Ruched Faux Fur Throw Blanket

I own several throw blankets, but this Better Homes & Gardens faux fur style quickly became  my favorite. It feels and looks more expensive than its $25 price, and shoppers said it reminds them of a $200 Ugg blanket. In fact, I praised it so highly that many of my friends told me they ended up purchasing one and love it just as much as I do. 

Dossier Musky Musk Eau de Parfum

I’m a fan of expensive fragrances, but my wallet isn’t. After falling in love with the scent of Juliette Has a Gun — a designer fragrance with a steep price tag — I stumbled across Dossier’s Musky Musk Eau de Parfum inspired by it. This $29 perfume smells nearly as amazing as my high-end $300-plus bottles and warrants many compliments. If you need a new signature scent for 2025, I highly recommend this one. 

Free Assembly Long-Sleeve Cardigan

Quiet luxury fashion was a major trend in 2024, and I’m keeping it going in 2025. This long-sleeve cardigan is so well-made and feels like pricier J.Crew styles. The gently cropped hem is easy to style with high-waisted jeans, and the large matte gold buttons add a fanciful flair that makes it look way more expensive than $26.
