Look what he made her do.
Taylor Swiftâs bombshell text to Blake Lively about âbitchâ Justin Baldoni confirmed the singerâs song âCancelledâ is about the actress.
Per court docs obtained by Page Six Tuesday, the âBad Bloodâ singer communicated with Lively ahead of the New York Times article that claimed the director waged a smear campaign against his âIt Ends With Usâ co-star.
âI think this bitch knows something is coming because heâs gotten out his tiny violin,â the Grammy winner, 36, wrote to Lively, 38, according to the docs.
In the song âCancelledâ â which was released on Swiftâs 2025 album, âThe Life of a Showgirlâ â she also mentions the phrase âtiny violin.â
âDid you make a joke only a man could? / Were you just too smug for your own good? / Or bring a tiny violin to a knife fight? / Baby, that all ends tonight,â she sang in the song.
âGood thing I like my friends cancelled (cancelled) / I like âem cloaked in Gucci and in scandal (yeah) / Like my whiskey sour / And poison thorny flowers / (Honey) welcome to my underworld,â Swift added.
The âGossip Girlâ alum and Swiftâs friendship imploded last year when the singer was dragged into the formerâs legal battle with Baldoni.
In January 2025, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, alleging defamation, extortion and more. (The lawsuit was dismissed in June 2025.)
In the docs, the âFive Feet Apartâ director shared texts from Lively, showing a discussion they had about Swift.
âI happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better,â the actressâs text read.
âBecause my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. [Smiley-face emoji] you will too, I can promise you.â
In another alleged text from Lively, she referred to Swift and Reynolds, 48, as her âmost trusted partners.âÂ
In May 2025, Swift was issued a subpoena to appear in court as a witness in the ongoing legal feud. (The subpoena was dropped later that month.)
A source close to the pop star told People about Lively and Swift, âTheir friendship has halted. Taylor wants no part in this drama.â
Last June, a rep for the âCruel Summerâ songstress attempted to distance the pop star from the legal drama.
âTaylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see âIt Ends With Usâ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,â her rep told Page Six a the time.
Page Six exclusively reported last October that Swift has had âno contactâ with Lively and they havenât spoken since winter 2024.
