Prince William and Prince Harry offered separate messages of congratulations to the winners of an award set up in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana.

The Diana Award, established 25 years ago by the brothers, was “founded on the belief that young people have the power to change the world.”

The foundation, which held its gala on Thursday evening in London, featured a pre-recorded video from Prince Harry — who has been publicly feuding with his brother since he stepped down from his royal duties and fled to America with his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex, who is currently in New York, appeared alongside Chiara Riyanti Hutapea Zhang, 18, from Indonesia, and Christina Williams, 27, from Jamaica — both recipients of the award.

“My mother’s belief in the power of young people to drive positive change continues to inspire me,” the father of two said in the clip.

“No matter the challenges we face, whether it’s climate change, mental health or systemic injustices, her legacy and the efforts of young people to inspire further action in the world fill me with hope.”

Separately, Prince William wrote a letter to this year’s recipients, praising them for their “kindness and compassion.”

“My mother
would be immensely proud of you,” the Prince of Wales, 42, wrote.

“In this special 25th anniversary year for the Diana Award, it is wonderful to see young people from across the globe being recognized,” the future monarch wrote, adding that the world can often “feel an uncertain and unfamiliar place.”

“I hope this award helps you to further champion your cause and support those around you. Thank you for your dedication. You are all extraordinary,” he concluded.

The brothers have been feuding for several years.

The public first got wind of the bad blood between the two after Harry revealed in a 2019 interview that he and William were “on different paths.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 further laid bare the rancor, with the couple accusing an unnamed royal of questioning the color of then-unborn Prince Archie’s skin color.

Furthermore, the publication of Harry’s 2023 memoir, “Spare,” laid bare the frayed kinship between Harry and his brother. In the controversial tome, he accused William of being jealous of the Invictus Games and physical assault.

The last time the brothers publicly appeared together was following Queen Elizabeth II‘s death in September 2022.

Sources have reported that although their estrangement is “very bad,” it’s not “irreparable.”
