How ‘concerned’ new couple Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton are trying to not ‘trigger’ Kanye West: report

New couple Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton are reportedly doing everything in their power not to set off her unpredictable ex-husband, Kanye West.

“They are concerned about what Kanye would think about this, since he was friends with Lewis in the past,” a source told the Daily Mail Tuesday, adding that the “Kardashians” star “doesn’t want to make this look like she is poking the bear.”

According to the source, both she and Hamilton “know that this could trigger Kanye in so many ways,” which is partly why they are keeping things casual.

The source said the pair are “using kid gloves with this hookup and currently not making it any more than just fun,” describing their romance as a “friends-with-benefits” situation.

“Lewis and Kim are not dating exclusively. He’s not looking to settle down with anyone, including Kim,” the source explained, with a second source echoing, “Lewis isn’t looking to be a stepdad. [He’s] not looking to be the ‘it’ couple with Kim.”

However, the second source claimed that Kardashian and West’s children — daughters North, 12, and Chicago, 8, and sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 6 — “love” Hamilton, who “has been friends with the family for a long time.”

The English Formula 1 driver — who reportedly has “a very calm spirit” — has been a source of support for Kardashian, 45, as she navigates her “complex co-parenting situation” with the controversial rapper, according to the second source.

The second source also claimed that the Kardashian-Jenner clan has been cheekily referring to Hamilton, 41, as Kim’s “Russel Wilson” — the beloved NFL star who married singer Ciara following her divorce from rapper Future — because they see him as a “sophisticated upgrade” from West, 48.

Another reported reason why Kardashian and Hamilton are keeping their relationship light and fun is because “their schedules are so demanding right now.”

Reps for Kardashian, Hamilton and West did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

West — who recently apologized for going on antisemitic and racist tirades during a months-long bipolar type 1-induced manic episode in 2025 — previously taunted Pete Davidson for dating Kardashian, alleging that the comedian was a gay junkie with AIDS.

As for the billionaire beauty mogul, things with Hamilton took a romantic turn sometime after they partied together at actress Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve party in Aspen, Colo., last month.

The two just spent a “very romantic” weekend together in Europe while trying to keep a low profile.

First, they stayed at a luxury hotel in the Cotswolds, England, where they reportedly relaxed with a couple’s massage, before spending some “cozy” time at an upscale hotel in London.

They later jetted off to Paris, where they enjoyed an intimate dinner, complete with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
