Hodaâs new era
Hoda launched her wellness app called Joy 101 in May 2025, and during the Forbes Power Womenâs Summit the same year, she reflected on what inspired her to launch her brand.
The star expressed that it came from a personal space, sharing: âIâm a beginner all over again. It is like when I started at NBC⊠I didnât know what I was doing and I felt like a kid. I feel like that all over again.â
She continued: âI think my 60s, Iâm 61, are like my âbegin again era.â Like âlearn new things era.â So Iâm a cheerleader by nature. Iâm like, âYou did it. Go girl.â Thatâs what I want to do.â
Since retiring from Today in January 2025, Hoda redefined what success looks like these days.
Hoda revealed: âSuccess is a lot of things. It used to be ratings, and now success to me is a kind of a more wider picture. Itâs my time pie carved up differently, and itâs beautiful. I work as hard as Iâve ever worked, actually.âÂ
She explained: âHowever, for some reason, I have more hours in the day, it seems, and I work from my home, so my kids wave to meâŠIâm just more present, so I think thatâs how I would define it. More present.â
