Hoda Kotb may have bid farewell to the Today show, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t still friends with Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie.
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, Kotb, 60, shared an Instagram photo of herself and her former coworkers smiling from ear to ear as they grabbed lunch together.
“I love Wednesdays!! @savannahguthrie @jennabhager. Also remember when you had that big goodbye party and now I am like…… HIIIIIIIIIIII!,” she captioned the post.

Guthrie, 53, shared Kotb’s post on her Instagram Stories, writing, “reunion.” When Bush Hager, 43, shared it, she added, “Love these babes.”
The meetup comes less than two weeks after Kotb left Today on Friday, Jan. 10, after 17 years on the air. She announced her plans to leave the NBC morning show in September 2024.
Kotb co-anchored Today’s 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. time slots alongside Guthrie since 2018. Craig Melvin took over her role on Monday, Jan. 13. She also hosted Today‘s fourth hour at 10 a.m. since 2007. Bush Hager joined her in 2019, following Kathie Lee Gifford’s exit.
In October, Kotb opened up to PEOPLE about her decision to step away from Today, explaining that she wanted to spend more time with her daughters Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman and adopted in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
“I knew that I wanted this decade to be different,” she said.” I looked at my time like a pie. I was like, ‘This is how much time I get, and now what am I going to do with it and how am I going to carve it up?’ And I wanted it to be filled with more of them.”
The broadcaster hasn’t fully stepped away from NBC, however, as she shared with PEOPLE that she plans to be a part of the network in some capacity that is still “being formulated.”
“It’ll involve doing some specials, doing the podcast and doing maybe the Olympics, stuff like that. It’ll be like those kinds of things,” said Kotb.

“So it’ll be specials and all those things. And I think every month or so, I’ll come back on the Today show and do a little something in this space, which I think will be fun,” she added.
Kotb also plans to launch a wellness app and host retreats.
