Hilary Duff is coming clean.

The actress boasted about her “talent” for cutting out friends who aren’t “right” in a podcast interview weeks before her drama with Ashley Tisdale.

While speaking to Jake Shane in a November 2025 “Therapuss” episode, Duff recalled learning who to trust from an early age.

“I’ve always had a really good gauge with people — I think it’s, like, a little talent that I have really good friends and it doesn’t take me long to figure someone out [and] figure out if someone’s not for me,” the former Disney Channel star admitted, noting she’s the “mom of [her] friend groups.”

The “Lizzie McGuire” alum noted that “friendship breakups could possibly be worse than a breakup breakup.”

As for how she cuts ties with ex-pals, the 38-year-old said, “You have to own it and be like ‘I can’t show up for you in this capacity right now. It’s overwhelming. Like, I need some space.’”

She continued, “I’ve had to do it a few times. I always want my side of the street to be clean. I don’t want to make anyone feel bad, but my actions — I’d rather have a conversation about it.”

The “What Dreams Are Made Of” singer’s comments resurfaced after Tisdale called out her former mom group — which Duff belongs to — for allegedly “toxic” behavior.

In an essay for The Cut published on New Year’s Day, the “High School Musical” alum described feeling “not cool enough” after being excluded from hangouts.

Tisdale, 40, recalled texting the group, “This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.”

Although the “High School Musical” star “never considered the moms to be bad people [except for] maybe one,” she chose to ditch them after the “dynamic stopped being healthy and positive.”

The mom group, in part, includes Duff, Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor — and although Tisdale did not name-drop anyone in the essay, eagle-eyed fans noticed she no longer follows Duff and Moore on social media.

Page Six pieced together a timeline, discovering that the last time Tisdale was pictured hanging out with the group was December 2024.

Though all of the mothers in the group have remained tight-lipped about the viral essay, their husbands have stepped up to the plate.

Matthew Koma, Duff’s partner, trolled Tisdale by sharing a photo meant to mock her promo for the article.

Atop a portrait of Koma looking pensive, a headline read, “A mom group tell all through a father’s eyes: When You’re the Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person on Earth, Other Moms Tend to Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.”

“Matthew gave her what she had coming,” a source familiar with the feud told Page Six Wednesday, claiming Tisdale is “insufferable.”

The insider further said that the friend breakup “has been a long time coming.”

Tisdale’s husband, Christopher French, on the other hand, shared his own cryptic message on social media.

“It’s your choice whether or not to engage,” read his Instagram Story repost.
