HGTV personality Leslie Davis took a trip with her new fiancé, Don Reidy, and her kids after confirming her divorce from ex-husband Jacob Davis.
“Spent last weekend in the California sun,” Leslie, 42, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, January 22. “Soaking up time with my boys and laughing our way through amusement parks.”
The Unsellable Houses star and Reidy enjoyed the getaway with two of the Davis’ sons Cash and Cole whom she shares with Jacob. (The exes also share son Kyler, who did not join them on the trip, Leslie confirmed.)
“We checked off all the tourist boxes from Krustyland at @unistudios to the Walk of Fame and Santa Monica Pier!” she continued. “We fit a lot in just a few short days 🎢⭐️⛱️.”
Lesie included a series of snaps from her family vacation and the several Southern California landmarks they visited including Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios, the Santa Monica Pier and Hollywood Walk of Fame. The post included a group selfie on a log ride as well as Davis and Reidy smiling while at the beach.
The trip came a few days after Leslie wrote a blog post titled, “Leslie’s Life Update,” announcing her recent engagement.
“Hey everyone, Leslie here! This week I shared some pretty big news… I’m engaged!!!” she wrote earlier this month. “And Don and I couldn’t be more excited to finally share our story with you and celebrate this big life moment.”
In the same post, Leslie subsequently confirmed that she and Jacob quietly divorced years before.
“I know what you are all saying … ‘I didn’t even know you were divorced?’” she quipped. “Well, 1,000+ social media comments later, you all have a lot of questions. I have chosen to keep this part of my personal life private, a hard thing to do as someone with a show on HGTV.”
Leslie noted that the decision to keep her and Jacob’s 2022 split private was out of respect for his decision to “stay out of the public eye.”
“Jacob and I made the very tough but right decision for our family to part ways in 2022, allowing us to create a happy, loving, and stable home to raise our three boys,” Leslie continued. “Jacob and I will always share love for each other, just now in a new way, we have learned to become the best teammates, to lean on each other, to support each other’s new adventures, and always put our boys first. With lots of changes, our priority was to always protect our family, which is why I have kept this part of my life private. And seriously, who even announces a divorce anyway LOL!”
Leslie explained that she and Reidy connected while filming the fifth season of Rock the Block, which aired on HGTV in 2024. Reidy was one of the contractors and the pair formed a friendship before things turned romantic after filming.
“Through the stressful days, endless hours, and lots of laughs in between, we became best friends and continued to stay in touch post-filming,” she continued. “Don was living in Colorado and working on other HGTV favorites, while I was wrapping up filming Unsellable Houses season 5 here in Snohomish, but we made an effort to keep our friendship growing. With hundreds of FaceTime calls that turned into dates and quick weekend trips to see each other, it was clear we were more than friends.”
After being “long distance” for “almost a year,” Leslie and Reidy “decided to give it a real shot” and the contractor moved to be with her and her sons.
“Thank you all so much for the love and support for this exciting new chapter. Don and I cannot wait to share more with you all very soon!” she concluded.
