Following a disappointing theatrical run, Guy Ritchie‘s slick action thriller, In the Grey, is climbing the streaming charts.
Starring Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González, the movie follows a covert group of operatives tasked with recovering a billion-dollar fortune from a criminal organisation.
With acclaimed director Guy Ritchie at the helm, audiences can undoubtedly expect a fast-paced narrative, quick-witted characters and plenty of high-stakes action. If his previous crime capers Snatch and The Gentlemen are anything to go by, viewers are in for a treat.
The film was released in US cinemas on 15 May and arrived on streaming platforms in various countries in June. It will be available on Prime Video from 9 September.

What is In the Grey about?
The film follows a covert team of elite operatives “who live in the global shadows, as comfortable wielding power and influence as they are automatic weapons and high explosives,” according to the synopsis.
It continues: “When a ruthless despot steals a billion-dollar fortune, the team is sent to steal it back on what would be for anyone else a suicide mission. What begins as an impossible heist gets much worse, spiraling into an all-out war of strategy, deception and survival.”

In the Grey’s streaming success
While the film was a box office flop, grossing just over $23 million against a reported estimated $70 million budget, it’s enjoying major success on streaming platforms.

What have audiences and critics said about In the Grey?
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, audiences gave the flick an impressive 83 per cent score, with many hailing it as “brilliant” and “absolutely incredible.”
