Helena Christensen showcased a plunging black lace bodysuit in a series of Instagram photographs celebrating lingerie brand Coco de Mer’s 25th anniversary.
The supermodel, 57, posed on a white bed in the sheer floral design before sharing a close-up of her shimmering makeup and a second lingerie look featuring intricate gold embroidery.
“Happy 25th birthday to one of my favorite brands,” she wrote alongside the photographs, adding a black heart and tagging Coco de Mer.
The post followed the brand’s anniversary party in London on September 17, which Helena attended during London Fashion Week.
Helena’s plunging lace look
Helena’s black bodysuit featured delicate cap sleeves, a deep V-neckline and floral lace across the torso. Narrow bands defined the waist and under-bust, while scalloped edges softened the shoulders.
She kept her accessories understated, wearing fine bracelets on both wrists and leaving her neckline bare.
Her brunette hair fell in loose waves with a sweeping fringe. A close-up photograph offered a better look at her beauty choices, with silver shimmer around the inner corners of her eyes, winged black liner and soft pink lipstick.
In another image, Helena swapped the bodysuit for a black slip with slender straps and elaborate gold floral embroidery.
The detailing framed the neckline, ran down a sheer central panel and continued around the short hem. She photographed the look in a mirror, resting one hand on her hip.
From the late Eighties to supermodel fame
Helena began modelling in the Eighties before becoming one of the defining faces of the Nineties supermodel era.
Raised in Copenhagen, she went on to front major fashion campaigns and share the industry’s spotlight with fellow models including Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
Her career included work for Chanel and Prada, while her appearance in Chris Isaak’s black-and-white “Wicked Game” music video introduced her to an audience far beyond the fashion world. The beach-set video remains one of her best-known projects.
She also became closely associated with Victoria’s Secret, adding lingerie campaigns to a portfolio that spanned magazine covers, runway shows and music videos. Over the years, her creative work expanded into photography and design, including her partnership with Camilla Stærk.
Her latest beauty campaign
Helena’s Coco de Mer celebration comes amid another busy period in front of the camera.
In August, she appeared in a campaign for beauty brand Saie’s SuperSuede Baked Eyeshadow collection, bringing her familiar tousled hair and softly defined makeup to the project.
Her approach to beauty favours products that enhance her features, with earthy shades, lip tints and makeup applied with her fingertips among her preferences. She has also resisted the heavily plucked eyebrow look that became synonymous with parts of the Nineties, retaining her naturally fuller brows.
Helena’s creative life
Alongside modelling, Helena has developed a photography career and explored her interest in interiors.
Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, she explained that creating a home has always been a deeply personal process.
“I’ve always poured love and attention into creating spaces that feel comforting and inspiring,” she said.
She traced that passion to her childhood outside Copenhagen, where she would search the surrounding fields for objects with a history.
“That instinct to collect and curate never left me,” she added. Her work with Danish furniture brand BoConcept brings that lifelong interest into her professional life.
Her photography similarly explores people and their surroundings. For her portrait series A Private Moment, she photographed women including Liv Tyler and Liberty Ross in their own spaces, using a simple shirt as the starting point for each image.
