Heidi Montag Pratt, 38, and Spencer Pratt, 41, arenât sugar coating things when it comes to talking about their current living situation.Â
The couple, whoâve been married since 2008, are among thousands who were displaced or lost their homes in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires that began in early January. Since then, The Hills alums have been speaking candidly about their emotional and financial situation.
Asked how theyâre doing now in a Feb. 22 interview with E! News, Spencer shared, âIâd say ânot goodâ is the honest answer. The last two days have been the hardest for some reason. I donât know if Heidi was processing sooner than I was, and I was so focused on Heidiâs music success that I didnât have time to think about our situation.âÂ
Immediately after the fires, Spencer, who shares children Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2, with Heidi, threw himself into supporting his wifeâs pop music career by promoting her 2010 album, Superficial, to his growing TikTok following (currently sitting at 2.1 million) in the hopes of making some money off it.
Though the immense support the couple received shot the 15-year-old album to No. 1 on iTunes in January, Heidi remains distraught over losing their home and possessions, he shares.
âItâs still so fresh,â she confessed. âIt seems kind of like old news to other people, but thereâs a long road ahead and itâs gonna take years to get our life back. And hopefully we can.â
Despite dealing with their personal hardships from the fires, the couple has dedicated time to helping others who also suffered from the devastation. One of the initiatives theyâve adopted was hosting a Los Angeles fire relief workout class with Training Mate, which Heidi said âkeeps everything in perspective.â
âItâs going to take so many people to really bring the Palisades community back and all the small businesses,â Spencer added.
Their community assistance has not gone unnoticed. The founder of Training Mate, Luke Milton, had nothing but kind words for the couple, stating, âHeidi and Spencer have been the absolute pioneers of generating some positive outcomes of such a tragic incident.â
He added, âWhen the opportunity popped up through our group of mutual friends, we jumped at the chance. And anything we can do to help these guys in their endeavors to make the world a better place, weâre just all in.â
Other celebrities whoâve lost their Southern California homes due to the fires include Tyra Banks, Joshua Jackson, Billy Crystal, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Candy Spelling, Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, Milo Ventimiglia, and Paris Hilton.
