Harry Styles didn’t let gravity get him down during his latest Together Together concert.
Styles, 32, performed at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros stadium on Saturday, August 2, where eagle-eyed fans noticed the pop star slipping and, at one point, falling while on the stage in now-viral social media footage. Styles appeared to lose his footing, sliding down a ramp until he reached the end of the platform.
Always a showman, Style struck a pose with one knee up after falling, deciding to simply lounge on the stage while belting one of his biggest hits.
Styles is currently on his Together Together tour, a series of mini-residencies held across the globe.
“Harry approached this project and tour very mindfully,” a source exclusively told Us in March. “By doing multi-night residencies, there is less travel and less burnout.”
Styles kicked off his latest tour in May following the release of his newest LP, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally. The shows take place in six cities, which the insider told Us was methodical.
“For Harry, the past couple of years have been about slowing down, stepping back and finding peace,” the source added earlier this year. “He really treasured that time and the sense of privacy and normalcy. He is coming into this tour knowing what works for him. He is incredibly emotionally mature and is constantly working on himself.”
Styles took a two-year hiatus from the limelight following his Love on Tour concerts from 2021 to 2023.
“At the end of the tour, the idea of taking time out felt insane. I didn’t know if I could do it, but it was the right time for me,” the former One Direction singer told The Times of London in February. “We’d finished the tour in July and I was turning 30 in February. It was time for me to stop for a bit and pay some attention to other parts of my life.
Styles spent most of his well-deserved downtime in Italy.
“I drove there, and I thought, ‘I’m going to enjoy doing this.’ When I was in Rome, the city just taught me how to slow down,” the Grammy winner explained to the outlet. “Italy became so important to me because I was so used to everything moving so quickly and being on the go, but then I remember going to a café and sitting and having a coffee and thinking, ‘I don’t remember the last time I sat down and had a coffee — if I’ve ever sat down and just had a coffee.’”
Styles continued at the time, “I was suddenly learning, through my friends, that eating a meal is more than just sitting down and refueling. I realized the pleasure in just being in the moment of what you’re doing. The Romans are the best at that — that’s their speciality. The pace they’ve taught me has been so special.”
